Honestly I need to see the movie again because last time I saw the movie I was quite young and saw it through a different lenses then I see now.

it wasn't too bad. none of them were, in my opinion. keep in mind the kind of reputation it had to live up to with respect to 4-6. it's not all that different from every zelda game after ocarina of time. they always get compared to it, but will never beat it, because of nostalgia (i think twilight princess is the best one, by the way). anyway, all of anakin's actors were pretty awful, but everybody else was fine. ewan mcgregor makes an awesome obi-wan.

I honestly don't see what's wrong with the phantom menace apart from jar jar of course I mean yes the acting was kind of bad but with a franchise like star wars you get past that and just enjoy the story and of course who can forget the duel of the fates such an amazing fight c:

A funny little thing... there was a book published after the movie came out called Darth Maul's Journal or something... in the journal, Darth Maul basically had written a autobiography. He mentioned that before he went into battle with Qui Gon, that he had been hurt by a previous mission but didn't want to tell Palpatine for fear he'd look weak... so his death is kinda blamed on an injury Lol.


I thought it was an interesting excuse for killing off one of the most bad-ass villians in the whole Star Wars movie series, whether this was defined before hand or not (probably not).

he returns in the last season of the clone wars. he survived on his pure hatred for old ben. fused his top half to robotic spider legs and went insane. more stuff happens after that -- don't want to give any more spoiler for those who watch / want to watch.
