I'm not from Boston, but I feel hurt not only as an American but as a fellow human being that cruel acts like these seem to spawn again and again are ending lives where death had no business arriving in the first place. One of those victims was an 8 year old just watching the people run. He was killed in the explosion and I feel ashamed as an idle human to feel like the only thing I can do is post on a forum about how sorry and angry I am that this happened.
Shootings, suicides, terrorism and now explosive acts are plaguing our world and our feeling of security. What kind of world do we live in where an 8 year old cant go out and watch an event without feeling afraid. I feel espeacially terrible for those who lost someone in this tragedy. I was lucky not to lose anyone but plz know that I wish fair travels for those who did. Thank you Aventador for bringing this up this needed to be disscussed. <3

I merely focus on the 8 year old because of his youth and oppurtunity to live life which was taken away from this tragedy, of course not to say that his life is anymore important than anothers, and I think debate over our responses is unneccesary RVCA. So plz lets just focus on what's important, that innocent lives were taken and families were hurt, no matter who's.
I feel I should mention that age is not a proper topic of discussion. Any life that was taken have lost their opportunity to live. How they would live, how long, is no way for us to know. There are plenty of ways to go; old age, bus accident, disease and even depression.
There is nothing important about this discussion. What we write here will have minimal, if no effect on the future of other victims of the bombings. All we can do is let everyone know that we think this sucks.
Although another options may to be to start debates on the forum, about what's important, what the "other" causes of deaths could be, or anything.

My point was we shouldn't let the tragedy in Boston over shadow the tragedy that occurred in Iraq today as well.

After all of this..... I am at a loss for words..... I've traveled that very street many times.... Boston is my favorite vacation spot, I have a friend who ran (was about 20 minutes away still from the explosions, but in Boston Marathon terms, that's very close) in the marathon.
This needless loss of lives is tragic, and no amount of sorrow from me can fix that.... this extends deeper than race, it boils down to hatred.

I'm not putting one life above the others, but the 8-year-old boy just seems more tragic than the rest, most likely because of his young age... He didn't get to experience so much of life..... Just getting ice cream, then......gone..... I don't know much about the others, but they did not deserve this either.... not at all. No one knows what these people could have achieved, and this end is sad.....

There were actually six people from my town that were running in the Marathon, I was very worried.
I find it ironic that this was a big deal (it is) and I heard nothing about Iraq, which had a higher death toll. Oddly enough, I had to go out of my way to find that out, where on the news, nothing of it was casted.

It is sad indeed..i heard yesterday or the day before that the 3rd explosion at JFK library also took a life of a young asian girl whose family didn't release information on. and i woke up today to find out another tragedy in Waco, Texas...now i don't think this was a pre-planned bombing. I think it was just a random explosion...but my thoughts and prayers go out to the 3 dead and many injured in boston and the 15 killed and 160 injured in texas..if you haven't heard Here is the article
