A tad nerdy to tell the origin of my name but I'll do it anyways, since it's pretty obvious if any of you have my skin and see the avatar that goes with it.
I originally chose the name Necros after watching the Yu-Gi-Oh anime and watching the episode where Exodia Necross was summoned for the first time. Yes, I know, I'm missing an s, I didn't know there were two s's at the time that I first started using the name and I prefer a nice even number of six letters
So, yea, I originally chose it for the reason that I thought Necros sounds cool to me and was, at the time I thought, sort of original because I didn't see anyone else with the name at the time.
Now I feel that the effect of the card even holds a bit of bearing on why I keep the name as well. For those of you who don't play or simply don't know it's effect. It's basically only there once you put all pieces of Exodia in the graveyard and play a spell card to summon him. He starts with 1800 attack points, but can only be destroyed by removing the pieces of Exodia from your graveyard. Meaning, he can't be destroyed by battle, spell, or traps. Also, on each of you standby phases, he gains 500 attack points for each standby phase that he is on the field.
The way I like to interpret it, he takes all these hits, whether they be from monsters attacking, spells hitting, or traps coming from beneath him, but he stands back up and only gets stronger from it. It may be kind of a stretch I know, but I feel this can speaks volumes about the character that I want to emulate as a person myself. So as often as I think about changing the name because I feel it's not so original anymore, if it ever was, or how many times people forget that there's an
s at the end of Necro
s, this will probably be my "internet famous" name until the end of times
