If you did something "grant" and unselfish; would you tell the world about it?
Wouldn't telling the world about it be selfish? Wanting recognition = selfish desires? No?

If you do tell the world about it, it makes them think you usually are selfish and that this is amazing that you actually did something for others.

Maybe. It is all really a matter of opinion. We, as humans, naturally want recognition for our accomplishments and feel good when we get, said, recognition. Some people do not get the recognition they sometimes deserve and others get recognition undeserved. I think a good example of this is in sports. One team member will receive most of the recognition from a victory therefore removing the whole 'team-effort' idea out of the picture. Sometimes if we don't take the credit for our actions someone else will and, if we don't, will people think we are selfish because we never claim to do anything great and unselfish.

My personal opinion is that we should earn recognition and not try to bestow it on ourselves. If we want great recognition we need do something great and others will see it and give recognition that is deserved. Recognition earned is far more honorable than recognition sought from others.

Get a friend to tell everyone, then you can claim you weren't selfish :p

But personally, no i wouldnt tell anyone, the deed itself is enough to make me happy about it.
