Haha that is true. I mean i just got out of college. and the high schools have exams ans stuff so i could see how that could effect the game a little.

As I've said many many times before, the server will pick up again soon. The game is on Steam now, and I think we will see quite a bit of pickup in server activity over the summer.

My disc drive on my laptop is busted/malfunctioning so I can't log on. I also don't have the money to buy a Steam version. I might be able to get on from my home computer.

i agree with akimoto they should make JK4 because the jedi academy was a big suches am i right but if there would be an jedi academy 2 that would be awsome you would be like a master or somthing biger not a padawan like on JK3 and i hope that they dont hury make it because when they made the TFU(the force unleashed) it was a a mega big sucses that game was an epic game when i played it was like nothing i ever played it was so good the saber fighting the force powers the costumes saber hilts but thy huryed to make the TFU 2 and what they got a not very good game like the TFU 1

The fact this game still has a dedicated following after gettin on 10 years is a credit to itself.

However it is a sad thing that whenever I have been on it is a wall of empty servers.

Also I dont think there is going to be another one in the series, wasn't that confirmed?? I am sure it was.

The force unleashed was hardly a replacement, its okay and a bit of fun...

For KR to evolve they could consider SwTor.. it looks very good.. the story elements and RPG from teh KOTOR series really bought into an MMO rather than teh wall of text you are in a full Bioware onliner.. Looks better than most or any other MMO I seen out there.

First of all: StarWars:The Old Republic might not be pretty great as it talking..okey i admit that i am looking forward to play it(if i can) but i dont think i can manage to do that since the people like me(who are student) cannot play games like Those(assuming that it is a Pay To Play game)

Secondly: Lucas arts have started to be a lame and started to make faux games(like Star Wars:Republic Heroes,Star Wars:The Force Unleashed and others) because they have started to be lazy and Republic Commando 2 'MIGHT' be released but ii dont think they might do that

To your question Captain Jack Sparrow: you are right the server is dead(for now) but it does not mean that people wont come back
Look at Captain and Kyousuke and Cross! Even tho i dont know those people i have learned that they are ex KR members and they have come back.. This summer The server will be Full again

Personally i think all topics that talk about the server being dead should be locked and have a master topic stating that the server has its off periods during school. Happens every year.

Haha i know it happens that the server dies but ive never seen it this bad before and my initial question really was more of "has it been this way since ive been gone". rather then why is it dead. haha it caused a bunch of good conversation though =)

One, yes, as most of the people here have said, the server has it's off periods. Summer's coming up, which I'm sure will bring more server activity.

At the same time though, we are still looking at an 8 year old game. Most (not all) people will have moved on from this game at some point. At the same time, you will have older people returning as well. Steam did help as I've seen Fal-Gal point out numerous times before.

So is the server dead? Yes...and no.

Is the game dead? Yes...and no.

Is KR dead? No.

We have to face facts though, yea, we still have people playing and we're still having fun. People will come back every now and then though, but this game is still 8 years old. Nothing good lasts forever. Personally, I think it could be on it's last legs, but that's my opinion, which is just that, an opinion.

Do I want to see JKA die? No, of course not. However, all good things must come to an end eventually, so why worry about it dying now? Sure, we have less people on now, but that might change over the summer. What everyone can do, is just get on server, and have fun while you can.

The whole "OMG JKA R DIED!?!?! ROXORZ BOXORZ!!!" posts are pretty much meaningless at this point. Just have fun. Sure, it will die eventually, that's just the cold hard truth, but it hasn't died yet, so quit jinxing it and have fun

dont worry captain..i am always willing to open a conversation like this and you are right about asking that but what i dont understand that if the Game's server will be crowded i mean i dont want to be like Jedi Phoenix(a lamer heaven but a legal clan )

and also i think that the server is more crowded when it is on US Time,i mean sometimes i was catching Falcon jawfin and Lianna(before me and Lianna leave) and there was 4 or 5 people online but in my time (In Europe time) it is always Offline i think

BW = Bioware.. Honestly looking at all their pax coverage and some leaked beta It looks superior to any MMO I have seen so far..

Anyway as for JKA Yes I do pop on from time to time but KR server is 95% empty so end up just playing elsewhere Chantelle doesnt bother at all now.. Being a mum and all that she only gets a little time in teh evening to play and they normally play something else.. I know Richard is going to be a massive SWTOR player so i may join him.!!

the truly classic games never die. you can go out today and still find tons of people playing original starcraft 1 battle.net. hopefully jka is one of those games

People still play Starsiege too, and that game isn't even owned by the same company anymore, nor has had an installment since the first JK came out.
