I plan to buy KOTOR 2 on Steam, but can I get the restored content for that? if so, where can I find it? Also, is the modding for this game as simple as JKA?

Yes, you can, you can find it on Deadlystream. A simple google search should bring it up :)

Eh, modding is a little different for KOTOR than it is for JA. More complicated, and if some goofs up, it most likely will result in you having to uninstall and reinstall in order to fix it.

iirc, don't you just need to place the files into the override folder? Don't quote me or anything, just doing this off of old memory. (I remember I once was working on a huge kotor mod that let you play both games in one, and I mainly had to take all kotor 2 files and [insert long process here] then change them into .mod files and place them into override)

Turns out, Steam has a workshop. And in said workshop, someone posted a Restored content mod, of which I am now spamming to download. Thank goodness Steam filters out viruses or I'd be playing vanilla games! ew!

Some mods are like that, but the Restored Content mods have their own installer so that you really don't have to do anything at all.
