Any way we can stick him in? I think the winner of me and Yoshimatsu is the only match that doesn't draw one of the other 3 players...could just set up another bracket of 4 players maybe and throw a bye in somewhere?

I'm sorry guys but I don't think this is going to work for me. I was very excited about a chess tournament, because I love chess and have never found people in other gaming communities who want to play. But I play live chess, often 5-10 minute games, or I play over the board with friends from time to time. Sitting at my computer for roughly 10 hours scattered through the day yesterday our game advanced all of about 5 moves, and that's only because I have been setting up some conditional moves to try to advance the game along.

I don't have the patience for a tournament that's going to take a month to play about 10 matches, sorry. :( I'm going to bow out.

Sorry it didn't work out. I agree with you on the live bit, but this is really the only thing that works with people in all sorts of different time zones and with different schedules. Maybe we can work out something next time where it speeds along a bit more

Yeah. I wasn't thinking of the time zone issue when I signed up. It's understandable, and I think it's a format that works well. I just don't have the time for it. It's especially painful for me in the opening, because I'm used to the first 9 moves or so taking about a minute, tops. :)

Aventador and I finished game one. During the opening I walked around the room kicking myself for several hours...stupid, stupid, stupid :P Managed to scrape a comeback together though, but Avent would have won if not for a couple of crucial mistakes. Sorry avent :/

Ave and I finished game 2. Unfortunately, ave put a knight in a bad spot which would have allowed me to win the knight for free and charge down the center of the board because the website glitched at the wrong time :( Sorry ave, you didn't have very good luck this go round.

Also, Mandalorian seems to have vanished of the face of the earth, so I am letting AJ win by default and move on to face tac.smart in the next round.

I am told that AJ and Tac have played one game, with tac winning, so depending on the results of the next game(s), I will play either AJ or tac for a the other spot in the finals
