Recently I updated the OS on one of my computers from xp to 7 and apparently it hates my graphics card. If I try to run any type of game it will crash my computer. I tried installing different drivers from Nvidia and off the disk, also in safe mode, but nothing seems to work. Also, does anyone know how to completely wipe off driver versions because i am thinking that maybe windows 7 came with some generic drivers for the card that are not being overwritten.

Start menu > type device manager in the search field and select it from the search field > expand display adapters > right mouse click on your video card and select uninstall > reboot and re-install the latest version of your GPU from nvidia

Tried that already but no cookie

uninstall DirectX and then reinstall.

If that doesn't work try using an older gpu driver.

So,, after a week of messing around with different drivers and stuff I decided to update my bios and now it works just fine. yay

Updating the bios? Wow, it's been many years since I've seen that as a solution. And flashing the bios is kinda scary, so easy to brick your machine.

Yeah, the first flash I tried kinda failed...But the second one worked!
