So i was thinking recently about zombie films but one thing occured to me... The military are always the first to get the crap end of the stick... So what happened to all these ' Tanks' And 'Armoured' regiments we had? :-p Think a tank would be pretty effective in crushing a horde

The zombies would simply swarm up it and eat the brains of the operators!

People panic, army being no exception. My guess would be that they try to clear a way for refugees, perhaps get too caught up in their job or getting swarmed to where it is difficult to see where they are going. They run out of gas, with little to no back up since other forces will be just as overrun as they, and are left there in the metal hull, hearing the moans and clamoring of zombies. They'd either go nuts inside the tank and end it, or try to make a break for it and end up getting om-nommed.
