"... or you will burn like that bish Anakin."
Heatwave going on. Last Thursday I decided to make the little trip to the local beach by bike. About 12 and a half miles to the beach and back. I found my bro's old sun lotion and hoped it would still have some effect. (Well, it did.) I was wondering if I should take some water just in case if the heat was too strong. Afterwards I figured I wouldn't need it, since I would be able to get some refreshments when I get there + I could cool my skin in the sea.
So off I went and after about 30 minutes I arrived at the beach. The heat was unbearable. Didn't take long before I had settled my stuff on the sand and myself in the water. I took my time enjoying the cool water and the nice sunny day. Later as I dried myself, I was bored. I was about to get something to drink before hading home, but then figured I'd be able to make it back without, since the little swim had been so refreshing.
Back at home I had a shower to wash off the sand. I noticed that my legs were all nice and red. Yay, sunburn'd! (I forgot to put lotion there) Not very big deal, put some soothing cream on them.
As the night was falling I got a disturbing headache. I thought it was the usual "too-much-sitting-in-front-of-the-screen"-kind and chose to ignore it. As I tried to sleep, which was hard, I started feeling sick as well. Few moments later I found myself in the toilet throwing up. Fortunately it was short. Had some water to ease it down. Next morning I was fine.
So kids, protect your skin and drink a lot of water if you plan to stay outside! Dehydration is serious business and the sun is a nasty sucker that doesn't care who it burns.
P.S. I had another trip planned for today because it was so sunny again. As I got my things packed and skin protected I was ready to go, but then the clouds came and ruined everything.
