Ok i got the error again. so i unplugged all my usb stuff. and followed the steps in the article chantelle posted. Plugged my keyboard in first and waited for comp to tell me it was fully installed. then did the same for the mouse. I went to do it to my wireless internet adapter but the ports on the back of the comp aparently are not 2.0 compatable and only the ones on the front are so i have to keep it up there. I let everything cycle and the comp fully install and recognize them before i moved onto the next item.

If this does not work i guess i will have to try to do a clean install, although I am honestly not sure how much good that will do considering this harddrive was a clean install to begin with and had problems from the moment i got windows installed lol.

There are extra updates via windows update utility. they all say security updates. would it be worth it to get those? Could they possible fix my problem or would it be just a waist of time?

you should keep your pc updated anyway

I didnt realise this was like it from the off when you first recieved the pc.. thats a whole new spin on it

Still could be a bad install however. you might have to do a bios update as suggested by ladyboy earlier on.

Not sure how true that is i am just throwing it out there.. id leave bios update as a very last resort.
