32 bit is more than fine, alot of people say 64 bit is fine BUT

Yes all looks okay to me, the psu is fine
remember to change your RAm voltages or whatever was said, as the machine will not work well (might not POST or might be unstable)

Yet another lovely bump on this topic
As an update, daddies money went in fine, nothing but problems with my mums cheque though, first of all I got to the bank too late so I went the following day and paid it in, i figured it should clear by wednesday or thursday last week and today it still had not cleared! So I called the bank who told me it had been cleared into my savings account (why that happened I do not know lol..) anyways I asked her to transfer it over and then went to buy my bits from ebuyer, only to find that the lovely motherboard and graphics card I wanted have gone out of stock! So Ive found a couple of alternatives:

The graphics card is actually the same one but a different make (or so Andy tells me) so in the end all good, ordering my stuff right after Ive posted this.
Chan if you get time to let me know about the voltages in the bios that'd be absolutely fantastic!

Firstly Chantelle, Richard and two friends are away on holiday to Caister on sea. Although Richard came back last night as he couldnt get as much time off work. But anyway She wont be around for a good few days.
1) Your motherboard is different so the instructions for changing RAM voltages will be different so your gonna have to look in your manual when you get it. You could ask Jenna when you get the motherboard what the actual model number is she might be able to locate the manual online and try and help from there. But she aint back till later on this week.
2) Your option to do SLI by adding another card is now gone on this otherboard. Unfortunateley you have gone a little down grade on the board
3) While the model is teh same 9600 Gt , the one quoted was a special high clocked version so again you have got a slower model unfortunateley.
Anyway not ground breaking differences but you have removed the SLI option for later.

fair enough, his performance differences on those boards are not going to be hugly slower just thought id point it out

Well we've put it all together (literally less than 4 hours ago from posting this) and all is working fine- well so far anyway.
I must admit it was pretty funny when we'd put it all together, we closed up the case and plugged it all in.. Sat back and pressed the power button and f-all happened haha. Took us about a min to realise what the issue was, we stupidly didn't put the cable to the power button in the right place (although to be honest the motherboard is terribly labeled). But yeah, after that hiccup we powered it on and all went well.
I won't say anymore then that, I'll leave the rest for Saunby to post as it is HIS build.

But in answer to your question, dual core, tri, quad core processors are much better at running applications then a single core- because the processes the computer is running are more evenly distributed between the processor cores, so basically, theres less stress on one single processor and therefore the PC runs faster.
Quad cores, are really only needed if your going to be heavily multi-tasking. Even though some dual core processors can be overclocked to give better speeds then the average quad core (this is the route most gamers tend to go down also, due to the fact that not many current games on the market support the use of four processors).

Plug it in press the button .. nothing or my favoirite is... plug it in.. turn it on fans spin... nothing..
Well I am glad its working first off, ill admit my realisation the RAM needed more Volts only came after a week as the system worked okay but kept blue screening and I looked into it. Since then it has been fine. But since its working its fine.
As for Quad core to be honest id put that more in a server as for home rig id have a fast dual core over a cheaper quad core.. but quad core could be future proof, that said by the time developers use it I am sure much superior chips will be around.. The hardware market is unfortunateley happy to get far too carried away infront of what developers can currently do. They are talking about 16 cores by 2009.

Yeah we had a few bumps on the road to success but we're there now and is all good.
Dont have much else to say lol, its fast and I like it.
Gonna get a proper screen soon, probably a novatech since they are cheap and I am told they are good value for money
Will upgrade stuff as and when as well such as a card reader and fan control etc.
Dont seem to have any problems with the volts yet will let you know if I do
Next thing is to get a plug in usb thingy from my mate so I can get internet.

With regards to a screen especially since your going cheap id go to PC world and actually look at the screen and image quality first just to make sure your happy with it
