For some weird reason, I can't load FFA5. My game crashes when it tries to get the snapshot. I've reinstalled JA twice, and have ran it with only the basic multiplayer, but it still doesn't work.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

I don't what could do that except for perhaps a corrupted assets file.

But try running it as a stand-alone server. Run JKA, bring up the console immediately and enter 'map mp/ffa5' and see what happens.

When I do map mp/ffa5 from the main menu, it fails as well.

Do you thinky ou could send me your 4 assets files?

Well Flap, if you look at the size of them, I don't think that's a tangible solution.

Pretty much the assets are the actual CD's *cough*

You may also wish to download any small lava map to see if your PC is at fault somehow, or if it is a corrupted pk3, assuming the problem could be with rendering the lava - mind you, if it is a lava problem that could still indicate a corrupted pk3. pk3's are zips so you can check them with winzip or w.e to see if there is an actual error in the archive.

just a shot in the dark... but when you uninstall, make sure you also delete (or move to an external ;D) any backups of the files. for example when i unstalled i had some problems of my own, but i never deleted the backups, after i had deleted them (or moved to external harddrive) and then reinstalled the problem was fixed. Anyways like i said, shot in the dark, hopefully it helps but yeah... have fun.
