So, since the EU is basically starting from scratch in the Post-ROTJ world, what kind of stories would you all like to see? Provided you read the EU novels, that is.

I for one would like to see some more info on the First Order, maybe a short novel or two about its beginnings, although I'm sure all of that will be held over until 8 and 9 are released.

Other than that, I'd like a little more info on what went on between ROTJ and TFA. What were Luke, Leia, and Han up to? Did Luke train Leia to use the Force a little bit? Were Han and Leia married like they were in the older/Legends EU?

I want to see who the new number one bounty hunter is. Since Boba Fett went sarlacc diving, who has stepped in as the most ruthless hunter in the galaxy? More about the pirates and criminal organizations. A bit about the resistance pilots would be great too. I think everyone has said it they want a story about Luke's students. I want that also. I would hope it is similar to the moments earlier in I,Jedi before everyone had their lightsaber just lifting rocks, projecting their minds, and other Force pizazz.

I think with Rogue One's approaching release soon, I think we'll start getting more stories about the Resistance pilots. A new series similar to the X-Wing/Rogue Squadron novels would be a great addition

I really want to see those gap years. Kinda to guage how powerful Luke could have been. I'm sure he would have put down a few despots, warlords, sith wannabe's before bailing on everyone. I ESPECIALLY want a new Truce at Bakura type novel set right after ROTJ.

Thinking about it I kind of want Shadows of the Empire to remain canon...Or at least the gist of it.

Considering that SOFTE was an official Lucas sanctioned product that they promoted the heck out of, I think it's still canon actually.

Oh absolutely! Anything before The Phantom Menace. Any of those Jedi. Especially Ki Adi Mundi I'd want his stories brought back.

I'd honestly like some more novels fleshing out the period before Episode 1 as well. Mainly centering in the Old Republic era, but more so in either the Tales of the Jedi comics era, or around the time of the Knight Errant comics/novel.

A story while Freedon Nadd lives would be interesting. To see one of Sadow's apprentices bury his roots deep within a planet heirarchy cool stuff. Some about the Mandalorian Wars would also be great.
