the title says it all .... that is my question.

Also:

Best game recording software for JA?

And then naturally:

Best website to post game videos? (please don't say youtube)

I have been playing around in the cutscene maps with Single Player game engine.
It makes for some hilarious times.. and screenshots have been taken, I thought I'd create a slideshow called 'fun times at the academy' and then start my Hollywood career making ingame movies of me playing with dolls in a video game!
Have you ever seen a howler drive an ATST?
How about rosh_penin Vs. rosh_dark on swoop bikes in t2_rancor? While the prisoners are trying to escape! lol
Then there was the time the noghris took over... and brought the good drugs.. ( /npc spawn interrogator) oops too much! :-o
playermodel gonk, setforceall 7, Lightning! call me sparky.

Many things that would totally crash the multiplayer game can be done with ease in the SP engine!

I urge you to experiment and prove yourself by spawning into a cutscene map in SP and posting a screenie. :-P
academy1 is the hardest... academy2 was way easier. t1_inter was easy too.
Only because I searched for and found the secret!
If you want to know the secret or think you know, post here. :-)

You can make an account on Imgur or PhotoBucket and upload images there. I think Imgur also supports you uploading MP4 videos if that's what you're rendering to. Can easily control and organize them through albums on either website. For proper video uploading, I wouldn't recommend anything outside of YouTube (as much as I dislike it), even though you already said no to it. There's DailyMotion and Vimeo. I don't really know of any other gaming specific sites that are for game videos or machinima (other than Machinima). As far as recording goes, there's only two I've ever used ... Fraps, which makes gigantic uncompressed videos but captures the quality. The other is OBS (Open Broadcasting Software), usually used for streaming but you can very easily save videos with it - used to do it all the time because I can easily select parts of the screen with a little drag box that I want to record. Doesn't need to attach to a game since you can record the monitor stream. I don't really think I'd recommend either one of those ... Fraps is easier to use but like I said, massive videos ... OBS is just straight up convenient.

Yeah I had Fraps on my old comp, trial version had wartermark , time limit ... :-(
I read that SHADOWPLAY is great, but I have a RADEON video card on the OptiPlex 320 that I wanted to use for the main recordings.

So far OBS sounds like the choice for recorders.

I used to have a youtube account... prolly need to reset the password.

Thanks for the info!

ShadowPlay is pretty cool but once I discovered OBS I never went back to it. Waaaay too inconvenient to go out of my way to turn it on and hope it doesn't bug out and not connect to the game. I was using it during a beta period so maybe it's changed since then. OBS just came out with another beta version that allows you to record fullscreen applications (OBS is still a beta itself, mind you) or something, because apparently that was a limitation before. Friend tried it last night.

Just curious, if you care to tell - why did you not want to use YouTube originally?
