Fatboi the places that you have to go on the interwebz to get "Ratted" is really really deep, or where I'm from we say "infected". So you've probably been somewhere and downloaded some crapware or program binded with someone's remote administration Trojan (RAT) It's either you don't have a antivirus, or not a very good one. But the server stub can be encrypted or sleep to avoid detection from AV's and other sophisticated cloaking methods to avoid detection. (Rootkits/DLL Hijacking/etc.) Either way the name Remote Administration Trojan is self explanatory, anytime they want they can pull up the C&C which the RAT uses the DNS that's programmed in it to establish the backdoor connection. So just like SkyJaw said they gain full control to your machine, and tell you what AV's are starting to become useless because of how sophisticated some Trojans can be.
