I wouldn't expect a new player to know parry, any more than they would know delays or poke - other skills which I consider adept level. It's not like they are being slapped in the face because an advanced move which they don't know about isn't happening when it is not supposed to for them.

I think in the other topic you said something skin to "it's flattering to a new player to not lose 100/100 to pros constantly." A few random parries here and there won't make a new player great all of a sudden, or an experienced player bad; all it does is allow the new guy a small break here and there.
