So it turns out that Microsoft have stopped their service of downloading windows 7 iso which basically means I cannot use my windows code to install the os onto my new hard drive.

Got no disc, want a legal installation.

Any suggestions?

If you purchased the code or got it through legitimate means, you should be able to recover an ISO through the place you got it. Also, if you attend a university or college, a lot of the time they have free copies of 7, 8, and maybe Vista. The only reason I have 7 on this computer is because of that reason - the past 2 universities I've attended have provided me with free copies.

Next time you get a hold of an ISO for Win7, you should either burn a disc or save it to a USB and burn it later.

The biggest issue is most of those suppliers links lead back to microsoft, which in turn has stopped providing the download for windows 7 iso's.

On a happy sidenote I managed to swipe a Windows 7 Ultimate (Business edition) for £20 from the college lol.

Happy days - lock please.
