Google+ on youtube. I was on Change.org today, and found this. Thank god there is a petition for this. This petition will attempt to remove Google+ from youtube, or at least allow youtube members to comment on youtube videos.

Not to be a pessimist, but I'm going to be a pessimist here. I doubt they will change it regardless of how many people sign it or how loud the demand is.

Now to be an optimist, Microsoft did change all the xbox one DRM stuff after a huge negative public reaction, so hey, maybe they will.

@MM, I can't say for sure... Google is pretty weird... I think the only way they'd change it is if they see no one making the switch (or at least not a major / significant fraction). Even then, I still don't think they'd change much if anything.

Thing is, Google is forcing youtubers to get a google+ account to do pretty much anything except watch videos now on youtube. They are forcing normal people who wish simply want to comment on a video into joining a completly worthless social network, which is confusing like poop, no better than any other social network, and why would I want to join a foolish social network, if I simply want to comment on a video?

Why would you ever want to comment on a youtube video anyway?

How about when watching a tutorial and you have a question about something? How about if you want to request something from the youtuber, such as releasing something? Or a simple 'thank you for uploading this' comment, or a comment to share your thoughts and ideas about a topic relative to the video. Also, with the google+ thing, I've seen at least 30 different Jesus Christs, 12 Hitlers, and 10 Chuck Norris' (Norri?). Now unless those people were actually Jesus, Adolf, or Chuck, I don't see a reason for them to use those names. Unless its for those kind of joking purposes, no one wants to actually use their full name.
