So, I was at a friend's house, and we were watching the BBC and this sherlock holmes show came on. It's an adaptation of the old books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle set in modern times. So instead of peering around with a magnifying glass, now sherlock is working in a lab and hacking through security networks (that's an oversimplification, the way they incorporate the modern technology is really quite well-done). There's only 3 seasons right now, with 3 episodes each, but each episode is an hour and a half long, and can stand on it's own like a movie. So if you don't have anything to do and like Sherlock Holmes stories, look this one up. Here's a link to the wiki page about it:

Indeed, I mowed through i think 2 of the seasons, its a very good show, I love the portrayal of Sherlock, much better than Elementary.

Indeed, the guy who plays sherlock (writing that is easier than writing out his name ) is fantastic. The way he interacts with Watson and Mrs. Hudson can also be entertaining at times.

I've just wrapped up season one, I'll move onto the next asap.

Although, I do have 1 little quip with the show, not a fan of how Moriarty talks, something about his mannerisms rubs me the wrong way

BBC america has many great TV shows. Sherlock is a great example of this statement. I mainly watch it on NETFLIX though, along with Doctor Who.

Mhm. He sort of sounds like just some psycho, and not the criminal mastermind he's supposed to be.

One other character I had a problem with was Irene Adler, but I think that's because of previous bias from seeing the Sherlock movies with Robert Downey Jr first. I thought the actress who played Irene was fantastic in those, and unfortunately the one in the series just didn't measure up imo.

Yeah, she was good, I just think the movies had a better portrayal, though that may be because they are set in a more accurate era. I liked the episode all about Irene (201 I think?) and was impressed by the way they managed to create the adaptation while staying so faithful to the source, but at the same time introducing new elements.

I thought the decision to make her a dominatrix was a little weird though lol.

So earlier I was thinking about the show and how both Sherlock and Watson run websites, so on a whim I looked up Sherlock's website, and holy smokes it actually exists.
