I went to a Josh Ritter concert last weekend, and it was pretty incredible. Somehow, my brother managed to get front-row tickets, so the whole experience was twice as awesome as it would have been otherwise.
For those of you who don't know (which is probably all of you) Josh Ritter is a singer/songwriter who writes sort of alternative/rock music as well as acoustic songs. Here's a video of him performing one of my favorite songs of his http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rcUsFatXw4
The video fails to capture the power and emotion associated with the song, which comes on full blast when you're in the front row in a small theater.
Also, Ritter was included on a list of the 100 greatest living songwriters
