I'd have to say an unfortunate sequence of events.
At that time some "hacker" clan (read script kiddie newbies) were using attacks which crashed the other clients on the server, although the server remained unaffected. During this time the server was instructed to ban any connections which were flagged as proxies or recognized as network sharing devices. Your IP flagged. Also considering you were using the name /b/ which is recognised from 4chan, also a hacker haunt, the ban stood in place.
Sorry for the misunderstanding, the ban has been lifted.
