So, since last I posted something about my feelings it got mixed up, rather a lot, I figured after waiting for the waters to calm, that I would take another shot at it. Less a shot, more a light, friendly, loving poke wearing a glove, down-filled, with an anti-hate enchantment on it, covered in bacon, wrapped in bubble wrap, which has a kitty on top of it, helplessly dispelling any negative energies. All the while, I myself am wearing several charms, literally, holding my Amethyst and my Clear Quartz, completely making this go an irate-free one... I think we're good.

:>

So, the very, very beginning of what I first said is indeed true...I believe in belief. They take the shape of mental shields, and give us a powerful way of making morally correct judgments. No matter what it is, a belief is strictly interpersonal, and to work properly, must be applied to you, and you only. It's when prejudice is added, that makes it such a controversial and mood killing topic. They have so many uses, in fact, beliefs can be used to set a standard of living, meta-physically, which can guide you along life in a positive, and happy way.

Keeping in mind, I'm not being specific. This is anything, absolutely anything. Hinduism, Christianity, Catholicism, Pagan; anything. It's the way you interpret it's lessons that define it as a belief within you, (don't forget, this is all about you.), and let it ride with your own opinions, whether you base them off of, or surmise around, whatever it happens to be. I'm not one to label, although many have been applied to me throughout these almost seventeen years now. I don't think there was ever such a thing as a good Christian, or a good Catholic. It's the way they look at the things they are given that makes them true anything or not.

A very good example of poor use of belief is from a documentary about the Westburrow Baptist Church, the religious group -which you may or may not have heard of- that firmly believes some things that I will not say on this forum, simply because of it's ferocity and malicious intent. I won't mention how personally this group affects me in their practices, whether or not they have come to me, in my face, and said anything about it. All you should need to do is either google Westburrow Baptist Church, or the name Fred Phelps. I warn you full-heartedly, the content is very blunt and mentally challenging. You have been forewarned. If you go to their site, which again, even the URL name suggests crude terms which I will not type out, you will indefinitely see what I'm talking about.

But, on the bright side, a Christian man who takes part in the film, who is this "true Christian" or so he calls himself, makes a very, very good point. He simply says, and I think I quote,

"None of what this man says is true. Even the verses he speaks of are taken very out of context, which to note are about pedophilia, not same sex anything or the other. Being Christian is about loving everyone under the same roof, because in the end, we're all god's children, no matter how different we may seem from the other."

THAT is a perfect way of believing. Having faith, but faith in everything positive, and nothing negative. Think of it in these terms- if you surround yourself with negative ideals, negative ways of thinking, negative events, negative messages, how can you hope to become something positive? It's impossible, because in that sense, and I truly believe, we are what we think.

So, in reality, nothing about this post is meant in a negative way, because then I would have contradicted myself. This is simply to put out there how I think, even though some of you may think me just some sixteen year old boy who knows minimal things about the world and the way it works.

I'm just here in hopes of proving those of you, wrong ;)

Your friend,
Wind.

P.S.: I really discourage going to the site via google...It's that bad, honestly truly.

Well said! I personally don't like the Westburrow Baptist Church because of what they believe in. And I'm glad Anonymous hacked them.

Sorry Wind, but I'm shutting this down. This forum is not a place to share personal close beliefs in public. I have extremely strong beliefs, but you wouldn't know that as I don't make posts like these. You may speak to individuals who want to hear what you have to say, but please, not like this. I will state, some beliefs are the way they are because what's being believed is actually true - not due to some crutch or some means of completing the person.
