well to start off last Saturday night my room mates ex-gf was drunk and busted a glass on my face so now i got a cut on my upper lip about 1 inch.

to make things better at work Wednesday i was doing a set up on the machine i was working on and i got a bit careless and tripped. i fell first on my knee on the track that the machine's wheels roll on to open and close. i got up thinking ouch my knee then i felt it and noticed a dip in my knee. my first thought was just my knee cap was broke so i pulled up my pant leg to see a deep cut about 1-2 inches down and about a inch long. landing on my knee like that caused my skin to be pinched to the point where it just separated is to only way i can tell you all because my pants had no holes in them.

got to the ER and it took about 1-2 hours to get in for things to be taken care of. the numbed it then took mt for x-rays to make sure there was no metal fragments/ fractured bones. then they did a deep wash on it and gave me 4 stitches. dressed is / wrapped it / gave me a knee brace to keep it from bending.
for 2 weeks i am only allowed to work if i am at 100% sitting place but i know that it is not possible at my work place. aka i cant work for 2 weeks or more depending on the healing / check ups but i do got money saved up to last a good while so i will be ok.

I don't care for the gore aspect, but I sincerely wish you a speedy recovery my friend. Maybe we'll see you server side a bit more! But seriously, a sad series of events there - get well soon <3

Get well soon bud, Got a 1 inch long laceration on my right hand if it makes you feel any better! ( Long since healed but left a lovely scar lol ) about half a inch perhaps more deep?

Pathophysiology
The prepatellar bursa is a flat round synovial-lined structure; its main function is to separate the patella from the patellar tendon and skin. This bursa is superficial, suggesting that it is undeveloped at birth. Within the first few months to years of life, the bursa arises from direct pressure and friction. The function of the bursa is to reduce friction and allow maximal range of motion (ROM).

Epidemiology
Mortality/Morbidity
Mortality associated with prepatellar bursitis is rare. Morbidity usually is secondary to pain and limited function.[1] In the case of septic prepatellar bursitis, failure to diagnose in a timely manner may lead to increased morbidity secondary to infectious etiology.

Age
Prepatellar bursitis can affect all age groups; however, in the pediatric age group, it is likely to be septic and to develop in an immunocompromised host.

proper wound care and watching for signs of infection will prevent sepsis. If it becomes infected see your doctor ASAP to start an antibiotic course if you are not already on one. If you are, take the pill as perscribed until its finished.

Lmao well i was tellin u not to get all freaked out over sepsis u big weenie :P jk but do make sure u do that, misdiagnosis isnt the #1 cause its improper use of antibiotics and stubborn patients who wont come in until theyre dyimg!

All kidding aside, I'm really sorry that all happened to you and wish you get better soon cause idk you too well but I know id be furious at the world if that crape happened :to me in JUST ONE WEEK'!! So until you get better, my yellow saber ignites in anticipation to greet yours my comrade

Lol put like medicine on that wound. So it'll heal faster.

^ not to be the healing police but putting things inside the dressing will make it worse due to infections from contamination. if the dr has perscribed it i wouldnt recommend it sorry.

update

10 days later when in for a check up went fine knees healling well and will not need no physical therapy for it.

stitches are out.

went back to work right after the check up
