A Training Idea

I have been helping people of KR recently, with connection settings, passive play, and yellow tactics, KR is filled with amazingly talented players who don't even realize what their true potential is, I do realize the KR Atmosphere is not skill oriented and I can respect that, but I am going to offer up training from GoD clan, in saber combat. We have many talented members who would be willing to train anyone interested, I do not know if this conflicts with the master-padawan system here at KR, but our intentions are purely to help train and maybe get to know eachother better. =D

I support Water in this, I understand things have been a little shaky with KR and GoD as of late. I hope this changes in the future.

As do I.

It's great that GoD and it's members are willing to put forth effort to mend those rips that have occurred, but it does conflict with the master system we have here. After these people have reached knight rank, I surmise it would be OK for you to fully advise other members, if they want to be advised. Keeping in mind we already have more than a few highly talented duelists here.

I'm confident that if there are any other problems with this scenario, one of the council will let you know.

Understandable, I have seen some pretty good duelists here, no doubt they could also teach, and the master-padawan thing is also understandable, perhaps maybe some of the masters will let us show their padawans a thing or two of what we know, always good to take in different styles to add to your own. I am open to any suggestions feel free.

Well we aren't really skill oriented...we just use the skills we learn to rank up(so i guess we kind of are) we don't just look for good fighters and thats where we get some of our members who aren't as good..which is why we have masters but if we had other people training our students..i vote that you can help only with approval of that persons master or if they have none then i guess its all on them.
the only conflict i see with this really is if someones master wants to train them a certain way and they go around to you guys and learn other things.

But i'm sure we'll be discussing this among ourselves so im sure someone will get to you on it

Hopefully a padawan picks their master as someone they respect and want to learn from, and the master accepts the padawan as someone they want to teach their skill-set to - watching the Star Wars movies alone shows that!

What this means though is this relationship is special. It means that the padawan belongs to that master. This also means that no-one else should interfere; you may note that council themselves don't do this. In fact, we allow a certain amount of latitude; for instance we wouldn't jump on a master for what under normal circumstances would be admin abuse. I personally have slept my padawans if I am teaching and they decide to hop around and swing at things when I want their attention.

What this also means, is that we do not offer to train the padawans of other masters. Again I have a distinct and set process of what I want to teach, and when I do so - and I get *very* upset if someone else decides to teach my padawan something I am not ready for them to learn yet.
Sorry but training in KR's padawans-jedi adepts is an internalized clan process. Our training system revolves around more than the simple skill factor but also the intro to leadership within KR and our personal honor system and respect. Also our honor systems are different as far as gameplay goes and this could cause confusion.

HOWEVER, for those at Knight or above: GoD does have some very skilled members so picking up a few tips is always a good idea.

What S1 and J2 said!

KR guys, these GoD are skilled; Knights and above learn from them whatever you want to add to your repertoire.

Note though the ESL are highly skilled as well, but the price of it, all their elitism and backbiting, it's shameful. Saber skills are good, but don't think that makes you a better or more useful member of the clan - in fact, at times it's shown to be the opposite.

I am actually participating in the ESL, I'm doing well so far euro is a fun game to play competitively, not everyone is like that :P very good people out here, i know it can come off as something no one really does for nothing, but the intentions are pure to help in any way we clan, community is small as it is :P Why not try to exist with each other and do all we can to help one another? Love the potential in this clan, I've said it over and over and will continue to, I suggest we do a get together as two clans looking to meet each other, then maybe we can do the training method in the future, im always willing to help anyone who wants it, it will always be open. :D

Thanks KR think about the new idea a few of your very nice and talented members helped me come up with.

Hey, so umm, I may claim to be all the hot stuff there is as a JK2 duelist, but I am quickly coming to a realization that that has no weight whatsoever in JKA and I'm basically a newbie again.

I apologize for butting my snout in where it's not wanted, but if this saber training in JKA isn't JUST for KR/GoD people, may I get in on this? When I set my mind to it, I am a very receptive learner! :)

i think we both have something to offer each other. perhaps we could have a clan nite with them. nothing competetive, just something fun to do. i would like to see us make a good friend here.

free lessons..
who would pass on the knowledge?
Any chance GoD train sessions can be open to the public?
I've know what I am able to accomplish with the youtube training videos, but
they only teach so far...I have improved a little by vids, but true lessons will
always be more beneficial...
If you need a challenge h20, I'd like some lessons...
Passing on this opportunity to train along side you and kush is well... why not??
I seen you slaughter an entire roster in a tourney once Water....
I knew then, I wanted your knowledge.... My drive is skill-oriented, so call it whatever you want... winnings, winning...
