Someone had to start the topic...
On October 30, 2012, The Walt Disney Company agreed to buy Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion and announced that a new Star Wars film will be released in 2015. Current co-chairman of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy became president of Lucasfilm, reporting to Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn. In addition, Kennedy will serve as executive producer on new Star Wars feature films, with the franchise's creator and Lucasfilm founder George Lucas serving as creative consultant.

Christopher Nolan with Christian Bale starring as Kyle Katarn and no input from George Lucus what so ever = best star wars movie of all time

I think someone should submit Charlie The Unicorn as a possible storyline...
Anyways, on a more serious note, I really have no idea what they're going to do... Perhaps the Yuuzhan'Vong war?... I think that's too long though, I'd rather see the turning of Jacen Solo, I think that might be interesting...

If it simply picks up where 6 left off, I assume they will be fighting the Imperials post-emperor, which could be interesting, but it would be nice to see something new.

No, this by all means is not the final cut or even a cut of what Star Wars Episode 7 could be, but good God I hope it's not.

This is exciting =D
Not only does this open the now more so endless possibilities of creative imaginative,
This gives me hope that one day, SWG may come back. Or has an equal chance of coming back, that it does staying down.

I would be so upset if they made a movie that didn't follow the timeline path (pre-defined by books that have been written to continue the Star Wars universe).... I would lose respect for Disney and I would lose even more respect for George Lucas

Sorry it took me so long to get on here and talk about this, but life's been pretty fracking fetic recently. So, here are my thoughts.
I'm am excited as all hell for this. A NEW Star Wars movie, in 2015, right in conjunction with the 3-D re-releases. As long as they don't screw up the already established canon that the books/graphic novels/games have set, I think we're all in for a treat.

This guy here
http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/bt/aj/ ... -announced offers his opinion on the deal and pushes for a movie centered around the old republic, which would be a good idea imo.

ANYWAYS, on topic...
My friend thinks the storyline for SW7 will be more or less the "next padawan of Luke"... having the hardest time trying to remember who that is if anyone?
He says they're going to try and aim towards an audience of adults mixed with younger folks so they'll be looking for an age vector of 20 to late teens... which is when I started screaming JAINA AND JACEN!!! D: even though... in the back of my mind... I don't think thjat'd make for a good movie...

The truce at bacura stuff is next on the list after Endor I think, in which case Luke's jedi friend(I forgot his name) gets killed by the aliens from war of the worlds.
At some point they need to have the Rebels impressive seige and retaking of coruscant. Then do the Thrawn trilogy and call it quits before they ruin it.
