so i ordered a cabble from ebay so i can hook up my Xbox to my monitor

wich is this one


theres a device/switchbox wich i can hook up that cabble (only the VGA cabble) and the cabble of to it and then that device be hooked up to the monitor and i can switch betwen the console and the pc easly with just a press of a button instead of going back and picking wires each time

Do NOT get the cheapo cord on Amazon that converts RCA to VGA and vice versa, I've heard nothing but bad news about it. You could get an ATI box or w/e, but I don't think it's worth it. If your Xbox or Monitor has HDMI, that's a 100% more safer route. I'm pretty sure you could find a component cable (RCA) that converts to HDMI, or maybe even HDMI to VGA.

my monitor saddly...no only VGA but i was just asking if there is anything cheaper than that switchbox ill order it from ebay

Anyways, as I said, you don't need to buy the box... if you have an HDMI port on your console then you can see if there are HDMI to VGA (as, once again, I strongly recommend not buying the RCA to VGA cables provided on Amazon)

Just use your tv.

verry smart yes i have it on the wall plus it has hdmi(but i have to buy the cabble)so i can play it on hd but...my tv has broken all i can see is one horizontal bright line and everything else is black until thats not repaired i would like to try this litle project that might be useful in somewhat cases when the tv is not avalible
