I seriously would never consider getting a Wii U... I'll post my reasons later on when I have more time to find ways to back them up :P

I will most likely be getting one, but not for a couple of years. This is for several reasons that I will not bore you with here.

Knowing you though Neccy, I'd say get one. Mainly because you're going to use it. A lot. :P

I think Alex may have been referring to non-desktop game based entertainment. My Wii is way smaller than my laptop, and I do consider my laptop portable; of course, the TV the Wii needs isn't - considering that is bolted to the wall. I extremely dislike consoles; the most uncoordinated digit on your hand is your thumb, and most controllers? you steer/aim/move with one, and shoot with the other. Having seen people play FPS games on a console I have to look away in shame. So I won't be getting one! For nothing else, the price is prohibitive.

Well he said psp, which is a handheld so I assumed he was talking about those, but then he followed it up with the wii, which confused me.

As for the thumbs, that used to be the case in pretty much every game, but a lot of games now have the shoot action be on the right trigger button, which you use with your index finger. Still, you mostly move and aim with the sticks which require a thumb to use lol.
