In John's defense, it was a purposeful misquote of "it's the end of the world as we know it" - It appears you are quick to misunderstand and judge, please don't.

As a developer I happen to agree with John in that it's a bad step forwards. MS are trying to merge their smartPhone operating system with the desktop one, by crippling the desktop. If I run Windows 8 the very first thing I'll do is to attempt to bypass that tile front screen designed for children to actually make it a workstation, and not a playstation.

whats what i was waiting for jawfin,not that wiseguy sarcasm words,because it makes me angry fast..and i think you are right about it Jaw,somehow people have started to be lazy,i mean they are not doing a great job like they did at Windows Xp.People say that Xp is now dead,that might be true,but a few people still uses that and it is a great Dos for works

But didn't Windows 7 just come out?? Windows 8 is looking like it will make me miss the old glory days of Windows ME.

Im using an XP and im pretty satesfied with it

I saw a few days ago, in Taringa! (a page), on user who installed the beta and post a few images of it, and yes, it's a smartphone in the desktop.
