Some of you might know that today, December 7th, is the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii. This caused the U.S. to enter World War II against Germany and Japan, but only after a great cost in terms of human life and military assets.

My grandfather was at the base when it was attacked, and survived. He is still alive today, going strong at 93, and is one of only about 2500 survivors left alive today.

A local news station where I live interviewed him for the 70th anniversary.

is the link if you feel like watching it.

The attack killed thousands of men and women, and the war claimed the lives of millions more. Remember all those who fought for their country.
