It's on the complete other side of the country to where Pala is, I hope...
That's what my IP stalker tells me anyway.

It seems disasters are funny if its not in your own country. I was appalled by some of the comments here that it was more polite for me to say nothing, because swearing and flaming is not allowed...

Right... Personally, I am more appalled with ANY government that fails to deploy prompt relief efforts or lacks proper contingency measures in the event of a disaster, as well as civil engineers who underestimate the violent and unpredictable force of nature. But that's just me...

Jawfin, if this is directed towards me I apologize. Sometimes I forget that the way things were said and done in what I use to do is not normal and not the correct way to behave with normal people. I am still relearning, so no one be afraid to give me a good slap of reality if I come off as abrasive or apathetic! Also, I was laughing because I didn't even think of the Star Wars connection until he quoted it, I was not laughing about the earthquake...

But in the end, the well being of you and yours is your responsibility, not the governments.

So, here's my hypothesis on earthquakes. No doubt there's a few logical flaws but I like it.
The Earth is like a huge machine, or motor, with moving parts. At its core is a whole lot of iron, and there is a magnetic field running North to South, also, it spins. It is to my understanding then like a huge electric motor - that is iron undergoing a change of flux through a magnetic field. As anyone who knows electronics will know that an electric motor and a generator are in fact the same thing. If you apply power you get motion, alternatively if you apply motion you get power. The thing is, I'm not sure which of these the earth actually is! Also note the speed it spins at also makes it a gyroscope.
Now there are moving parts being the tectonic plates. These are very large and very heavy and if their movement is restricted in any way it makes for seismic problems. Anything that moves needs lubricant for it to move smoothly. The earth is full of lubricant, it's called oil. By taking the oil from the earth we are removing its lubricant. Just because the oil is taken from another area doesn't mean it can't have a wider effect.
Think of a running car for comparison. The majority of its oil is in the sump, nowhere near the moving parts: push rods, valves, rockers, overhead cam (assuming overhead as it’s a simpler design). In fact, if you tried to tap the oil coming out of the push rods you'd have no luck, but drilling into the sump you'll hit the mother lode.
What makes me suspect this is when they do drill a new spot the oil comes out under a lot of pressure and very hot, just like it would if you drilled into a sump. The theory that oil is the result of buried forests isn't conclusive - so it may be there for a reason. Also, we do know that there has been more earthquake activity in the last 100 years than in the 1000 before that, which does indicate a change of circumstances.
Well, it’s only a hypothesis!

if that what you say'd is true then people who just wants to make money (CEO of the drilling company)is gona bit by bit suck out all of the oil from earth so who knows in what time i would say cuple of hundrets of years the earth will have so litle oil so what is the concecunce
it will be rare so it will be mor costs (but that ist the migner part)
the earth as you sayd wont have any lubricants so the tectonic plates
then we will see a lot of huge earthquakes
i heard that each years the tectonic plates moves a few milimeters but on one day in japan it jumped 7 meters
so that is what i imagine if they continue on this path
lots of earthquakes like taht
THEYL DOOM US ALL!!!

Very insightful hypothesis. *tips hat*
So, if indeed extracting oil from the earth can cause seismic activity, an efficient alternative for oil needs to be found or created. This substitute could be mass produced and sold to the market whereas drilling and distributing our limited "lubricant." By not drilling the oil and leaving it in it's natural place, it
should reduce the amount of "man-made" earthquakes.
In addition, there are other positive outcomes by using easily reproduced alternatives rather than oil. As many people know, global warming is an increasing issue. Today, most climate scientists will state that carbon emissions is the leading affiliate with global warming. If a new fuel source replaces oil, then it would significantly reduce the carbon emissions leaking into the ozone layer. Finally, it will help save the penguins homes!
As Jonathan Swift once said, "I have too long digressed.."

guys,if you dont mind can you lock this topic because as far as i read that some people are writing something that is ridiculous(not in a funny way,i am not laughin because this is a serious Topic)
if you want to say something in a funny way,do it on other topics not in this one, what if there would have something happened to me,Hmm,what if the Earthquake has appeared in Istanbul, not in Van,would youo prefer laughing more. The people are suffering and all you do is to have fun..well then i would say that Lock This Topic Please! besides,i am not saying that the same thing will happen to my City because i had already been that one once,

This was the Apocalipse day of my life because it had both an EarthQuake in Izmit, which is near at my home, and Tsunami happened..so tell me..what is so funny with that?
