Anyone know of proven methods of training (getting stronger) without getting bigger muscles? Low weights, fast repetitions? Etc. etc.

That's pretty much it. Find a weight you can do 50-80 reps of on whatever muscle group you want the long muscles, and do that 3 times. Don't do the same group within 3 days or you will just fatigue the muscle and make acid.

Excellent. Lately I've been doing 12x of the hardest i could do... To get stronger. But I dont want bigger muscles! DERP.

Btw, I hear rumors stretching out muscles alot is good to avoid muscles getting bigger (at least reducing)?

50-60 reps :o

That wont do much good. It will just degenerate ur muscles. I would recomend 3 sets of 25 reps. And that u do exercises who involves the whole body like Overhead-squats, lesser reps of deadlift, (kipping) pullups, squats, Push press, Shoulder Press etc.

Also, before trying new workouts work on ur technique (youtube the workout). Ive met tons of youngsters who wants muscles fast, the bodybuilding principle. They often have bad technique (ecp in deadlift) and get injuries, if not now, in some years. Often their rehab are complex but if u get a good start with good technique u can advance faster.

Maybe also more eccentric workouts. For example biceps curl but instead of lifting the weight u start from ur flexed position and slowly lowers the weight, keyword: Control! Eccentric movements are more efficient in terms of energy and muscle growth and stamina.

Check out the training forms of Crossfit. www.crossfit.com
I do Crossfit and love it. Every workout is different and challenging. Routine is the enemy.

I extremely strongly recommend, as I did last time, consulting a PT. If you have joined a gym there, then they will have them. The advice I give is direct from PTs; they can see you physically and can best recommend what to do to achieve what you want.

In that case PT where u live have other thoughts about muscle training than here in Sweden. I will get my PT-license and finish my studies in June.
And 50 reps, that many reps cannot be given to anyone, without proper technique-instructing. 50 reps at certain muscle groups will just fatigue the muscles and cuz of that hurt ur joints.

Agrees with jaw on the consult PT.

LoL! Stop working out :P

Or use more aerob muscles. More cardio, and more reps! Cardio does in small scale stop the anaerob effect, or at lest slows it down. Meaning Cardio may slow ur Muscle growth.
Or stop eating proteins! ;)

Although, I dont believe there are any studies who have focused on reducing muscle size.

Good Luck :)

Use a Shake Weight! It may look a bit lewd while you use it, but it's small fast reps and my moobs are going away :D
and it's cheap

This is what I do, about 5 days per week and I love it. Not as booring as sitting in "machines" at the gym.

Did tons of that when I was in China. There are no room for it here, nor do I have any equipment or room to do any of those things by myself.

Oh well. I guess I'll just do whatever and see how it goes.
