Okay so I have been doing "intro" videos for my youth group the last two weeks with sony vegas pro 9. Kinda wanting to do like any kind of epic titles for this next Wednesday (feb 2 or nxt week) and if you guys know how to make any epic titles or backgrounds you would like to share how to make them or something and I will greatly appreciate it. That is pretty epic already!
The first thing I would do is just do a YouTube search for how to create a great intro, there are plenty of tutorials. For text I would always use the Protype Titler with gradients instead of the normal text you had there with the lame glows lol. Though, you can make great results with the plain text as well, just not as epic!
