Hey folks i have a small problem and i hope you can help me
my telephone is Nokia N97 but it is chinese made and my brother gave me that and it mostly works but my question is that i wanna format it
any idea how to do that?

Its possible the language is locked into it. As far as I can tell its not a true "smart phone" - in that you couldn't install another operating system into it - which also indicates it was released with the language hardcoded. No amount of resetting will make it change its language, its part of the phone itself.

Isn't Nokia from Finland? O_o The Transformers movie even parodied that fact by saying Nokia knew the way of the samurai. =P

Have you tried their support discussions forums? I'm sure you're not the first one to ask.

yea i think so as well, i mean i tried to see some forums but neither of them has worked and i will lead pyra's link thnx i will inform u guys about that

sorry for late reply now jawfy and right now(actually those days) i am entering my mobile internet so i thought i did write that but obviously i didnt anyway that is true i mean i am thinking like that as well since mine is chinese made its possible that i cant do it any alternative to break it?

I cannot answer what I do not know. Did you get any responses from asking these questions in any Nokia or Mobile Phone forums?

yea i did and it seems that its working now thank you jawfy and pyra for ur helps
it worked that way first i be on here with my mobile phone to deplete my charge and after that i did a hard reset which are shift space and backward and power and it worked

tbh it does pyra i mean i was doing everything and i tried everyway including jaw's link but it didnt work for me but thnx to u i solved
