1. wiggle the cord
2. soak it in Pepsi for 3 days 4 minutes and 25 seconds. BE SURE YOU GET THE 25 SECONDS!!
3. kick it
4. kick it down the stairs
5. open the disc tray and fill it with Silly Putty
6. call Micro$oft tech support and verbally pwn them
7. don't listen to me

Um. unplug and replug everything.. Chechk your tv and see if anythings wrong with it.. call microsoft, or just send it in
Edit: if i remember right on the cord thingy that goes to the tv theres a switch on it for HD and Non-Hd. So check that and make sure u have it switched to Hd or sumthin

We did all that, we tried both HD and non-HD, we tried the HDMI cable. Also the DVD player connects to the tv just fine, so it cant be the cable or the tv. it has the be the box :\

Sounds like the gpu is a bit faulty on the box..
Normally overheating issue causes the red ring of death.
Incidentally Chantelle can fix them so if you do get that she could help or point you in the right direction.
if you tried RGB and HDMI though and on different TV sounds like the GPU has corrupted..
