There was actually this really cool keyboard I saw on think geek a while ago:

Image

Every button on that keyboard is its own individual screen. It has a bunch of other cool features too that I'd rather have them explain then me.

That keyboard you posted Aki is there as well.

M&K Id say Logitech or MS make pretty good combo

Its a personal thing what fits and feels right to you.

Headphones you can spend 10 times that amount on headphones there has to be some limitation.

Speakers speculative, again for a PC getting logitech is pretty good, BUT you could use line out into your own Stereo. I have a technics Stereo which is all of my PC.. - Again with this you could spend $5k on it if you really wanted too

Screen - what size? 19" 42"? Projector on the wall if we are talking USD $150-5000

Problem is alot of these are personal preference items and somewhat will always be limited by a sensibility.

If someone spends 20k on a decent gaming system its idiocy

So to summarize

Decent logitech M&K

heaphones - Ill leave that to you

Screen - whatever suits your room typically 19-22 is normal for decent gaming do not get the cheapest but look at higher brands such as Sony, Samsung , LG etc always use DVI/ HDMI

Speakers for stand alone what you have selected is good, but if you have a decent stereo system just check the back and acquire a analogue AUX cable..

with the AUX cable get copper plated I would recommend

EDIT

You said what else does a gamer need

well, a decent Seat, nice comfy office chair or something with full back tilt and swivel!

You hit the nail on the board with that one!! I use a crappy... chair that... smells. @.@ I need to write that up in the list! Also while talking about "furniture", a good computer desk is nice too... :D

----------------

Also, I have been looking a little for speakers, and comparing these 2 (and prices!)

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speak ... =15&A16=16

Is it really worth getting the 399 one over 99 one? :S

-What is "FDD2 Drivers"?
-What is "Dolby Digital+DTS"? Worth getting 399 just to get this? /huh

EDIT:
Think i'm going for the 99USD one! YOUTUBE REVIEW

Might get this keyboard instead lol

That keyboard is more than likely good, for me its overkill and I wouldn't spend anywhere near that much on one.

But you do get a good quality product from them

AS for Speakers the cheaper ones look just as good, most of the otehr features wil be redundant anyway

you get the quality the bass and it makes so much difference to a game

WHat I mean is, using a decent speaker output over standard PC speakers makes a huge difference to the expereince. Very under estimated.

Play a game like FEAR on a rubbish screen and cheap PC speakers.

But

Play it on a great screen in the dark with a decent speaker system..

I was going to suggest a G19 keyboard, but you seemed to find it already
If you want another great keyboard that's a little cheaper, the other G Models before the G19 are great

For mouses you should go with the Razer mouses, don't waste your time with anything else if you're going to spend more than 30 dollars on it.

and for those 2 sets of surround sound speakers you were comparing, go with the cheaper model, my friend has that exact same set and they work great. The other model was 4 times as much and just added pretty lights and can get really loud.
(oh, I just realized your going to go with the cheaper model, lol goodjob)

Any other accessories you're thinking about?
