Last week I saw X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I missed it in theaters, so I had to wait for the DVD to come out so I could rent it, lol. It was really good, and a lot better than I thought it would be. I didn't care for some of the big plot decisions in X-Men 3 (particularly the killing off of some of the main characters), so I sort of expected Wolverine to be a so-so movie.

If you're a fan of the X-Men movies (even if you were put off by X-Men 3), I'd definitely recommend watching Wolverine.

Tsukasa, I agree with you on the fact that Wolverine was a good movie.. but they themselves had a few screw ups even in that movie. For any die hard Wolverine or Deadpool fans, I'd stray from Wolverine: Origins.

On a side note, I did watch Zombieland quite recently and plan to again. It was an amazingly funny movie and I recommend it to anyone who likes zombies, or even to anyone who likes comedy in general. It doesn't even require you to know anything about zombies to get into the movie, it was just a great move in general.

P.S. - If you want another great comedy and if you enjoy DBZ, try watching DragonBall Evolution. I'll leave it at that.

"TELL THAT BITCH TO CHILL" Jules, Pulp Fiction by Quentin Tarantino
Note: im not sure if i spelled the directors name right lol

I think Die Hard Saga was pretty cool, i mean the last movie was kinda messed up, but they still have the action & they still have John Mclane & him savin somethin/someone & him by the end of the movie covered in blood & him sayin "YippieKayyay," thus the complete Saga narrows down to like 80%-85% in a scale based on 100%

@SabreTheBear: That's true, they did do a bit of "Hollywood-ization" to the story... but I kind of expected that, seeing the trailer.

As with any movie that's based off of something else, you have to look at the movie as a stand-alone story... otherwise you end up to critical about the fact that "yeah, they did change a few things when they made this a movie".

Actually I can't stand die-hard fans that criticize movies. Last year I was dragged to see Twilight in theaters with my girlfriend and about 10 female family members. For the rest of the night, and the next few days, all I heard was comments about how "that wasn't quite right" or "that character wasn't the same as I pictured them". Even my girlfriend got tired of their annoyance. I mean... its just an f-ing movie, get over it, right? lol. (Nothing against Twilight... just that fans need to chill once and a while).

I will stray from arguing about the Origin movie, Kuro; I'mma movie and comic lover, so I can see both sides. The movie itself wasn't really as good as I hoped (though the fight sequences blew my mind), and they did give a big middle-finger to Wolverine and Deadpool fans; there's making a few changes, and then there's completely altering the story.

And just taking it as a movie, not associating it with its origin comic, it still made no sense.SPOILER WARNING!

Wolverine: So lemme get this straight, you pretended to love me so that I would freak out when you faked your death so I'd become so enraged at my brother that'd I'd undergo crazy body modification to kill him only to end up controlled by the government?

Girl: I had to! Savage had my sister hostage!

Wolverine:... and your power is to make men do whatever you want them to...

Girl: Yep. ^^

Wolverine:... so why didn't you just make him let your sister go?!

Girl:... oops. >_>

Wolverine: I'm actually looking forward to the part of you dying and me forgetting I ever met you. >_</SPOILER

I still enjoy the movie for what it is, and the action sequences (aside from Wolverine playing slice-n-dice with a fire escape) are really awesome.

And FYI, guys, Zombieland was filmed in my home town. X3 I love recognizing all the rides and places in the movie; aside from that, it is a really kick-butt zombie movie that's funny without being corny.

@Pyra: XD

Slight Spoilers... maybe

Add to the end of that "Girl: Think of it this way... you've got shiny new claws now... that'll help with the lumberjack job... right?"

On a side note... I didn't care for their over-use of the CG claws. I'm pretty sure in the older movies, he had actual, physical claws, and in this one they were CG 90% of the time... they just look so fake. They can spiral-cut a nuclear cooling tower, collapse it into ruins, and make it look real... but getting the lighting right on some metal claws so they don't look as green-screened is too much effort? Especially when he's looking at them for the first time in the bathroom... wth.

Anyway... that's it, I'm done... I don't want to hijack this topic into a Wolverine bash, lol.

i overheard that besides Xmen Origins, there r rumors of a creation of Xmen 4. not only cuz magneto got to move the chess piece, but also cuz Charles Xavior instead of dyin transfered his mind into the mindless(or whatever it was missin, u correct me or fill it in) body at the hospital that Moira was takin care of. Note: this did not happen durin the movie, but after the credits of the movie. its just a hunch tho

Huh... didn't know about that extra part after the credits of X3 (had to youtube it, lol). A few days ago I read in the Wikipedia article for the X-Men movie series that they supposedly want to do a bunch more movies... a lot of that information is probably based on rumors though.

Also, although its not a movie, a few days ago I watched the first episode of Stargate Universe. It was pretty good, and looks like it'll be an interesting series. I'd recommend any Stargate fan to watch it... but I probably don't have to tell any Stargate fans that, lol. I will say that the "special appearances" of SG-1 characters was pretty limited though. I was expecting them to appear throughout the first episode (as kind of a send-off episode... like at the beginning of Atlantis). Instead they're parts were reduced to (very) brief cameos. Overall it looks like they're gonna try to separate this show from the previous two and make it more unique (as opposed to Atlantis... which at times seemed like it was just riding on SG-1's success... especially with all the tie-ins and fan-service in the later seasons... dead characters coming back to life every other episode and such, lol)). Also, it seems like they're trying to make SG-U more dramatic, and in that sense it reminded me a bit of Battlestar Gallactica.

Also... to anyone else who's watched the two... does the main character, Doctor/Scientist guy make you think of a non-selfish-bastard version of Gaius Baltar from BSG?

I'll end this now before I rant anymore or risk spoiling anything.

hmmm... i mean i was just thinkin & i do aprove the rumors, if magneto still has his powers & charles is "alive" then why not let the war continue, obviously the "cure" was only temporary, thus lettin the "war" continue. maybe it wont be Xmen v Brotherhood this time, it might only be Charles v Eric, or somethin... but accordin to those events what r the possibilities that it wont happen :?
