Im currently a council member in EK, usernames Drako.

EK's hostingmulti-server tournament and we'r inviting pritty much everyone to come along and enjoy themselfs.

I need to ask if it's ok if we post the advert for the tournament on you're forums.

Hey guys,

Well, this is gonna be a bit of copy pasta, since its far too long to re-write for each forum lol.

I'm here to invite you to join in our first annual open tournament. on Sunday the 26th of September.

Basically, we're inviting everyone and anyone to come along, either as a clan or just for you're self and have a great time in a massive inter-clan tournament.

Due to the sheer amount of replies we've had so far, this event will be hosted on multiple servers with all the non-fun things being done by me and my clan, so all you guys have to do is enjoy yourself.

I'm going to give the details in a VERY basic way, just so there's no misunderstandings;


1) Multi server game-play.

2) ALL servers will be put to FFA3, will be running JA+ 2.4Beta5 and using EK's house damages.

3) All servers will be monitored by 1 of EK's council members, and 1 or more administrators or aids from EK or other clans.

4) All servers will be put up 1 hour before the matches begin.

5) All servers will have free team locked until the match begins.

6) 5 minutes before the match begins, the council member will silence everybody and explain the rules of that round.

7) When the match begins and everybody has joined, the free team will be relocked.

If you break a rule, you will be kicked from the server. If you spectate, you will forfeit the match.

9) Every match will last up to 10 minutes.

10) The top players from each server will advance to the next round.

11) The winners will be combined into other servers.

12) This will continue until we have 10 players.

13) When down to 1 server, the match type will vary each round.

14) The participants will only be told what each round consists of 5 minutes before each match.

15) there will be a 15 minute break window between each match.

16) Anyone wishing to help need only contact myself on MSN and we will make arrangements.

17) Any suggestions or criticism is welcome.


I think that's fairly straight forward. Well, that's what you guys would see anyway, behind the screens we'd all be going "ahhhhhhh" lol.

We're debiting whether to build a website dedicated to this, may do so if this one is a success. There may also be a prize for the winner, depends on how generous we're feeling.

I ill be posting all the server IP's a day or two in advance, since we don't know the exact numbers (so far its estimated at 200 players just from clans saying they want to come o.O), we're holding off ordering all the servers until we know how many clans are coming, to save having several empty servers lol.

Ok, i'll answer some of you're questions.

Akimoto, yes the rules will change, it wont all be duals due to the sheer amount of people coming, so the game type will randomly change.

We are also looking for staff, anyone who has experiance with admin and wont be participating. If you're interested, please post on that forum.

There will also be test servers being put up within the next few days so we can check if the mashines can handle it, if you wont to come on and screw around, feel free, there will be a post on the Tournament forum with the days and times the test servers will be up.

Well for a start a normal Flu and a cold are not the same anyway

This is also a strain of flu. I had flu symptoms plus a stomache virus and vomiting. I checked out and passed all requirements and was confirmed. I however didn't take any meds. Not the nicest thing to have but not the worst.

Like any flu if you have anything which it could threaten your life then there is reason to worry

other than that yes its like a normal virus..

I dont know what the policy in your country is, in UK we have to submit and they diagnose you online as you are told not to go to GP.

First and foremost do you have a Temp over 38C?

if so check the symptoms

So you have a runny nose and no temperature

You dont sound like you have flu let alone swine flu.

Just as you say a cold.

Alot of people mis use flu when they mean cold, flu usually makes people poory for best part of a week with a raging temperature and they are usually confined to their bed for a couple of days or the sofa..

Basically Akimoto, H1N1 is a new strain of virus that has moved from pigs to humans. Everyone is getting all "OMG!" because it is a new strain, which means that this virus is highly adaptable...which is uber bad.

This is the first time humans and this particular virus have met and the docs and scientists have little to no idea on how to treat it. Plus they already have their hands full with the normal flu.

Some differences between the normal Flu and H1N1 is that to catch the normal flu the virus would have to have access to a sensitive mucus membrane. Meaning you would have to touch something that is infected (i.e. a door handle) and then wipe your nose or rub your eyes.

H1N1 is airborne. Someone can cough in an elevator and everyone in there would be infected.

H1N1 is really nasty as another difference between the normal flu and H1N1 is it's been reported that with the majority of cases of H1N1 - besides giving you a nasty fever - it's coupled with vomiting and diarrhea.

This does not sound like a fun time to me.

I didn't cover all the reasons but I thought this was good enough.
