FPS = First Person Sneaker, my favorite, and Thief is the best of the best.

I also like Sniper, Silent Service (series of submarine simulators, not really FPS), Assassin's Creed, but couldn't get into Hitman despite its sneaking overtones. Even back in the dark ages (circa 1988) F19 Stealth Fighter - awesome for its time (even having your aircraft detected could fail a mission).

And lol at all the taffers who have never played Thief!

(Note, the voice actor of the main character in Arx Fatalis is Stephen Russell who did Garrett in the thief series)

I played theif 1 + 2 completed.. never really fully got into the third..

I've completed 2nd and 3rd and now I'm going through the 1st for the first time, now that I have a computer (at least in temporary use) that can play it .

i want to play it but every time i try i get some stupid codec error, it links you to a website that tells you to pay $15 usd for the codec.

Oh hey YEA! Damn I really liked Thief 3 and it got me so sad it works so bad at Vista, but if they're going to release Thief 4 that will work on Vista, I'm definitely 100% getting it, can't miss such a game! Thanks for news

I have no issues running T3 on Vista, in fact I was just playing it then and mini'd to check the forums

Anyhoo, time to get back to T3

It doesn't work for me at all, the games doesn't launch. I found on google that I have to check an option "Run as administrator", my account is an administrator , but I can't check that option.

I actually have not tried T3 on Vista

I know T2 wouldnt run.

Recently tried T3, and it did NOT work. (Vista 64bit)
