It works for me ( I use Vista Home Premium ) . Just install the 1.01 JKA patch, JA+ and you should be fine :)

Works fine, even better you can actually minimize it when using vista which is very useful... you have to fiddle around a bit to do it though.

If it still doesn't work for you Fazz let me know. I've had a couple of problems with jka and vista and I've worked them out.

Don't forget to go to properties and click run in compatability with windows xp and the run as admin box. Also disable dynamic lights from the in game menu.

You're getting that message, if I remember correctly, cuz you need you to turn User Account Control off. Once you do that, it'll work just fine ^^

Control Panel -> Classic View -> User Accounts -> Turn User Account Control On or Off

As Shin said, if run in compatibility mode set to Windows XP that will get around the "VM_Create on UI failed" error also.

Be aware that turning UAC off on Vista does remove a large amount of secruity features. Many people find the prompts annoying but they have proved to make your PC more secure, so please do consider it before just simply switching it off.
