Ill play this by ear, if its good ill consider it, but the subscribing thing is selling itself to the devil.
Only because I am a fan of KOTOR..
By the time its out ill be occupied so may have to wait a while and then try out a trial.

Guild Wars 2 will be coming out soon(ish) and that's an MMORPG that will be free.
That's where my money will be going. And it will be going there only one time. Not month by month.

GW was free, Subscriptions against my religion!! so this is liekley a NO NO NO
GWs however..it was just exceptionally boring and oh was it ever so repetitive..
Completed it never felt the urge to ever play it again.. did thought and switched it off shortly after.
While not "currently" the same genre being PS and MP.. kotor, oblivion , Mass effect were just so much better to be blunt.
Worst was the clientel of people on it, rude ASBOs with chips on shoulder.
maybe GW 2 might up the ante with a decent encapsulating story or something. I hope so as I cannot see me spending a subscription..

Well they been making this game for 3 years and focusing upon story and so it should feel like KOTOR. Also, they've said something about choices affecting your character and story and that unlike KOTOR you can't just reload or anything... I personally think it'll be awesome =3

Guild wars was good because they were experimenting with a lot of new ideas for MMORPG, some worked and some didn't. (I like the interactive minimap)
I got into GW toward the beginning (it was my first MMORPG) and I got rich off something that was somewhat like a scheme, but not really.
--I bought rare weapons for dirt cheap from players who didn't want to sell them (like 1-3k each) and then I turned around and sold them to new players at high price 10-15k--
I made my first million in about a month. It was real easy. Then the first expansion game came out and it killed my business.
After a bit I fell out of GW, but when Nightfall was released I got back into it. Nightfall rocked and was definitely worth playing (you get to ride wurms and tear apart armies of enemies...armies.)
But after awhile I stopped playing it again.
GW2 is suppose to fix a lot of stuff.
For one you can now jump and swim. The world will be open much like WOW and not your own personal game like GW.
They also have multiple races now, not just humans.
...I won't get into too much because you guys could just search the info

Anywho, if anyone has a char on GW, I'm still rich on it and willing to help out...I don't need all my money. I have like 400k still and my char is just sitting there...

Well GWs 2 might be worth a look!!
the 1st one did keep me entertained for a long time but it just was very...... static.. there was no replayability and well it grew so old fast..
A good start though, it needs to expand muc h more on the RPG side of things character development etc, look at EVE, KOTOR etc
Hopefuly the graphics overhaul aswell#
Alot of people used to tell me GWs had amazing beautiful graphics.. But I thought they werer dated at the time of release :s.. it was blocked squared polygoned maps..

Guild Wars was a nice game and sure will take a look on GW2 once I get it.
Though back to theme. Well, I know Bioware kind of really well and their lately game Mass Effect was more than just awesome. As I heard they told this will be the biggest project of Bioware and LucasArts. Well, these two combined together =S I expect it to be something really awesome, since Bioware always had amazing MMOs with great stories and LucasArts aren't bad too ( Just take a look we are still playing JKA xD ) . Can't wait for it release, as well as for Mass Effect 2.
