So, tomarrow the Hadron Collider get's flipped on..and we begin to unlock some more mysteries of the universe..or according to some, we end up sucking space vapor because a black hole will devour us. Whats your thoughts on this?

I personally think this is a good step in the right direction, and poses almost no threat. I'm actaully excited to think of what we as humanity will learn in the next couple years because of this experiment.


Or, we may open a gate to Hell and let demons pour forth unto earth, in which case, i've got a 12guage pump shotgun, i'm prepared.

Who wants to start making the BFG9000 with me?

I was hoping mine would be a SLIGHT bit more intelligent then the other thread..

I always looked up at the stars (when i could, you dont many chances to get great views in the city)

Read a bit about star planets and all sorts..

This kinda excites me what we can discover..

I actually think by now its switched on..

Not sure if they are throwing particle at each other yet or just whirrling lights around like a 100 Metre disco

yea its going to be a while before the particle collision tests are done.. like they said it would be tested in 2-5 weeks from the date it goes online. So your lungs will be exhausted untill then senbou lol.

Yeah its just firing beams or something at the minute.. The particle test may be in a week or so..

An interesting fact for you-
If a black hole were to open and suck everything in, something known as 'spaghettification' would occur, basically, the soles of our feet carry all the mass of our body and would be sucked towards the black hole into space but our body would stay in real time, in other words, we would become stretched into spaghetti like pieces
