I told Kaz, Kat, and Tid, so I might as well tell the story here too. ^_^

Today I was playing on the JoH server and it was raining outside. Well I thought it was no big deal so I kept playing with the music turned up and I hadn't heard thunder. I turned the Music down just a little and I heard the thunder. I was getting ready to leave the server when all of a sudden the tornado sirons went off. Immediently I left the server and Mother yelled "SARAH GET DOWN IN THE BASEMENT!"

So I left my room and was heading towards the basement and then Mom offered to let me come outside to see the storm. I, not thinking it was much of a big deal and that it was only a bad storm, went outside with Mother and looked into the clouds.

Up in the clouds a Funnel cloud was forming. It was my first time I ever ACTUALLY saw a almost-tornado (it was very, VERY close to the ground).

I'd hoped to see an F1 as a tornado the first time I see one... Unfortunatly that funnel cloud was an F4. So I stood there, horrified (stupid me).

*What's gonna happen? Will the house be destroyed? What about grandma.. How will we get her down to the basement?! Oh God please don't let it touch the ground!* Grandma was disabled in a wheelchair and the basement stairs were too steep for her to get down.

I was so worried for my grandmother I started bawling.

I guess my prayer was answered and the cloud began to dissappear and move away and I ran inside to hug Grandma. I was pretty much traumatized.

I know I'm a big baby, aren't I? But I thought it was scarey!

i would have done the same expet i wouldnt cry -_-

I found some pics my mother took.

Nasty looking, really nasty....I live in Oklahoma...so really, those pics are common place. We had a really nasty storm today that knocked out the power to my store...which, considering it's all run by computers is a friggin nightmare. It fried the keypads on 4 out of the 8 gas pumps, as well as almost fried the primary cash register...which controls all the functions of the pumps...sucks cause i'm the only one that knows how to fix that crap....


god i hate the Ruby System...


Either way..where are you at to get a tornado that bad looking? Granted F4 here is pretty common (hell..we set a new F5 record a few years ago) but F4 is like rip apart the land and launch the cows bad.

ya in Illinois i havent seen 1 tornadoe so iunno what its like to see one

something happened like taht not to long ago out here >.>

xept, i was playing WoW and didnt realy care bc i had my curtains closed and music blasted when my dad called me on my cell and was like "WHERE ARE YOU?!?!?! THERES A TORNADO OUTSIDE!!!" bc he thought i was downtown or something >.>

but it never touched the ground and mostly stayed out at sea

Yea tornados are scary but ive almost gotten used to them because im like extremely unlucky and ive personally been in 3 different ones. The wierdest thing (kinda cool actually) is when the sky starts to trun green.

Yeah that is kinda wierd when it does that O_o So you've been in 3 ones? What's it like?!
