Knights Reborn

Ok, so whenever I'm playing on the server this command keeps popping up periodically at the top of my screen:

"name" is:"-[KR]-Saunby" default:"Padawan"

the more annoying thing about it is that it acts like i have typed the command: ';name' so then if i want to repeat a common command like /amtele i have to scroll up through loads of this crap until i reach my last /amtele command.

It confuzzles me, any help would be much appreciated.

Also, this one doesnt bother me as much since it doesnt happen that often, but sometimes if i minimize the game, when i come back the graphics are really messed up, although not always in the same way, i.e. abnormal darkness, checkered maps and characters etc...

So yeah, someone help me please =]

If you have XFire on, that is what is causing it. You have to go to options, games, Jedi Academy, and disable in-game tracking or whatever.

Ok, ive altered those changes so ill find out if its made a difference next time i go onto the server, also it makes sence for x-fire to be the problem since i only just recently downloaded it and the problem also only just started.

If anyone has any idea about my second problem then feel free to post

that one sounds more like a comp issue. chantelle and melissa should be able to fix it for u lol.

no kioshi, tricky had it right, i had that problem too when i played....and so does everyone else who plays JKA

wand there were 2 problems posted. tricky only answerd 1 of them. the 2nd one is a comp issue. messed up graphics upon un-minimizing. thats the one im talking about.

Yea i had the same problem when i played with my xfire on, when i stopped using my xfire, my problems stopped.

ur second problem isnt ur comp, i used to have this problem with a couple other games and on my uncles comp. it usually does it when anothe rprogram does something/completes something/updates. the program for me and my uncle was a roxio thing, it would start up or do something on its own and would kick windows focus over to it, making JA minimize.

i dont know how to solve the problem, my problem ended wen i switched hard drives and roxio isnt installed on the my new drive.

(i ould also be completely rong, but thats what happened for me, not sure about u)

was roxio a um cd burnin tool?? thought i seen that before..

you coudl try looking or reducing the programs to see whats causing it.

Hard to say really what it is, i think i have had that before but rare occasions. It is normally when I have something else open which would be using graphics... even something like windows media player for example..

Thanks so far guys, I have a feeling it might be when i minimize to look at a video someone has sent me a link for over msn, or something similar, i still dont know for sure but like you said Chan, it happens rarely, but its just a bit of a pain when it does.

I guess I'll just not watch videos whilst playing JKA

ya roxios the burning thing. i dont know why it makes stuff minimize but w/e. check ur startup items saunby, cuz most likely its one of those

Guys, my second problem half happened today, so I used my wits a got a screenshot, as you can see, it isnt all of the map, but that pic wasnt the only place that looked like that...

My advice:

Download JA Minimiser. Clean your directory of any unneeded skins, maps, etc.

Try again.
