I'm looking for a professional, but easy, studio-type recording program.
Best one I had found is GarageBand, but tis only for macs
Any reccomendations?

Depends what you're doing. I'm trying to remember one I had downloaded for a buddy. I think it's called Ableton. Give that a look up.

Best program for editing professionally is FL Studio 7 (XXL Edition) Does any and every kind of beat and was made for recording, cutting, pitching, ect. all types of audio. I use it in my spare time (which is very little)
Can be complicated but once you get where everything is it becomes VERY easy. Just my 2 cents

Weel that's a suprise, what did you do, pur fruit loops down your CD drive with the milk? Or did you rip off the case and put the fruit loops on the hard drive? I'm not suprised your laptop couldn't handle it, fruit loops are stressful you know.
(that @#$% toucan!)
