Greetings to you all, from a very old friend

Hello everyone.
I'm really not sure what to add after 'everyone'. I initially wanted to add 'new and old', but it has honestly been so long that everyone, save for a few familiar names, is new to me.
Before I continue my greetings, I feel it would be rude not to introduce myself, and offer some background information to go with the introduction. In KR I was (am?) known as Fluffy, and I played a part in forming KR many, many years ago. The details have been lost during the tumultuous beginnings of this clan, but I do believe KR was born around mid-2004. (If anyone wants the full scoop from my hazy memory, I'll try my best to oblige)
Fast forward to late 2007. With blessings from Raven, Ronin, Phoenix and Starcomand, I officially relinquished my position on the KR Council due to increasing responsibilities in my life. Eventually in early 2009 I simply disappeared from KR altogether. Regretfully, KR just slowly slipped from my life, and I didn't even formally say goodbye.
Over the past 7 years I've visited the forums only a handful of times, and this is the first time in 3 years that I've stayed for more than 5 minutes. I don't know what possessed me to come here again, but I think the closest analogy would be akin to checking up on a long-forgotten acquaintance on Facebook.
To be honest, when I entered knights-reborn.org into the address bar I was expecting an empty webpage. After all, it's been 12 years, and 12 years on the Internet is about equivalent to 2 human lifetimes. I was surprised to see the front page as it always was, but a little disappointed that the forums appears to have changed. I don't know why, but this piqued an interest in me. I knew it was likely that everyone and everything I remembered about KR would have changed. New faces, new rules, new culture. But I needed to know, so I started digging around everywhere I could. As I learned about the current state of KR, I realised that I was right about the new faces, but wrong about the rules and culture.
Everything is still as it was on the day I departed without saying goodbye.
I assumed that the new management had purged the old forum records (as I said, it's been 7 years, a lifetime on the Internet) so I tried to register an account, only to find that my account from 10 years ago is still active!! Honestly, I haven't been this shocked in a while. My curiosity was bursting, and I frantically dug through the forums, old and new, to relive what I had done here so many years ago, and discover what I had missed the last few years. This is the part where I tell you that I had tears rolling down my cheeks, but unfortunately I am a party pooper, so there were no tears. Just a rush of memories and emotions.
The memories gave me a huge dose of nostalgia. The emotions... are harder to describe. I can't believe that after 12 years you are all still here. Who still plays a video game so fervently 12 years after its first release? And there's so many of you still, all here together?! That is simply unbelievable!! Looking beyond that amazing fact; the respect, integrity and culture that this clan was founded upon still thrives to this day. It is being upheld by possibly the greatest group of people I have ever met.
I am so proud to have been a part of this clan, and I just want to thank you all for everything you have done to keep the spirit of this clan strong.
In particular, I can't express how touched I am that my name is still remembered to this day. In all honesty I expected to be forgotten, another detail lost to history. But to be made an honorary member is, as the title suggests, a great honor. I won't name names, because I'm going to embarrass myself for leaving out at least one person, but I want to thank you all in particular, for remembering me after all these years.
As for what I'm doing here. It really was just a case of sticky-beaking, which turned into an expression of appreciation, awe and gratitude. It would be nice to reconnect with a few old friends, and make some new ones in the process. I don't intend to apply to join KR, as life is still serving me up surprises every day, and I don't have a copy of JA handy at this stage. If I am welcome here I would like to hang around on occasion to socialise.
So, I really don't know how to close off this post. It was unexpected, and I just needed to get this off my chest. Thanks so much for your time, and maybe I'll get to speak with you all soon!
