Spider-Man vs Darth Maul





A show called Super Power Beat Down has made a video which shows a fight between these two characters based on fan votes. In the original Spider-Man won, however since the poll was so close, they made an alternate ending.

Which ending do you agree with? How do you think the fight would go? And why?

Pretty sure darth maul would win. I would imagine his lightsaber could easily cut trough the webs, and in episode 1, Maul is in remarkable shape, doing a bunch of flips and acrobatic stuff. Spidey would have heightened reflexes, but I don't think he would be able to elude Maul very long.

Well, using the force Maul choke Spidey. Spidey try in vain to shoot some webs, but maul get them with his saber. So spidey dies.

Keep in mind that TPM Maul rarely used his force powers in a fight, preferring to use his saber staff more than anything.

well, Spidey gets sliced then ._. Spider man isn't that strong in offensive powers. Maul can easily deal with him

TPM Maul is a smart fighter with incredible dueling skill although he rarely used the force in the movie he still has it and could easily put spiderman in a grip and finish him off from there.

I'm not saying that Maul or Spidey would win, but I think you guys are forgetting that Peter Parker is a genius and has uncanny strength. Maul is a tactical fighter with insane saber skills. My point is just as easily as Maul could throw things with the force, force choke, force push, use acrobatic skills against spidey, spidey could probably throw most of those things right back at him. Spider Man in a lot of ways fights monsters and people that are way stronger and faster then him, but always seems to out think them and use their abilities against them.

Yes a blunt saber to the face would kill Spidey, but if you really think Peter Parker would actually let Maul get that close do that I would think again.

As Maul has the Force, he could predict Peter's moves, which gives him an advantage.

In that first fight, Spidey wins by, well, doing what Kirito said. And I agree that Spidey is a 'smart' fighter who can use his enemy's weapon to his advantage. But, while Spidey might take some advantage using the webs, I don't see how Maul would take significant damage from them, especially when he can use the Force.

Spidey is fast and smart, but think of how Kylo handled Poe in ep 7 in the very beginning. I would assume Maul can pull off the same move and completely paralyze Spidey. So to me, Spidey doesn't stand much chance. Hence I would say draw at best (which would happen if Spidey fights defensively and engages only in long-range shooting of webs and both gets tired eventually).

The two act similar for these characters, both enable amazing reflexes, so I see these two cancelling each other out.

Some points were well made on Spiderman's side, I do think people are underestimating Spider Man's chances here.

If Peter is able to keep his distance, he'll win, however then there's the question of whether he'd be actually able to do that.

Yes, he could, but I don't think it's as likely as Maul tagging him and slicing him.

I do favour Maul's chances in this fight, he should have comparable/better speed and force precog cancels out spider sense.
