Hi guys,
In the past few days, a lot of people told me that I was laming, when I kill someone with melee up. Even admins tell me. They say that the people who I "lame" are clearly saber down, but on my screen I saw them with melee.
And what troubled me more, is that someone challenged me in duel while meleeing, and I could accept and the duel began, which is normally impossible. (I don't know if I'm clear, my english isn't perfect)
So it's my JKA installation who has a problem and shows me ppl with melee up or what ?

Did they have an actual lightsaber or sword? Deactived swords are sheathed on back usually and give the appearane of empty hands, commonly confused with melee. Or they are using amdropsaber giving appearance of empty hands, but they would not be able to duel. Or could be a mod you have.

hm I dont have any mod except Ja+. And I'm not only seeing them with empty hand, but also hands up like melee ._.
I don't know if they have lightsaber or swords, but I don't think that's the problem
Maybe it's an animation problem or something

See if you can take snapshots/screenies, at least we can then see what you're seeing! Any .pk3 regardless of what it says it is can change animations and such - you may need to do an extensive process of elimination to identity it. Start though with removing all but the assets and ja+ .pk3's so you know if its in the game or in a package.

Well I'm gonna delete all my jka folder and reinstall it with steam. This should correct the problem. I'll keep you update if the glitch remains. If so I'll try to take screens

Also there has never been a problem which a sledgehammer cannot fix, one way or another.

From what I saw the other night your clear case of revenge laming had little to do with a glitch.

Just FYI I never do revenge laming, this is stupid. The other day I clearly saw the dude with melee up, but apparently I am the only one, which is the problem.

Whichever it is, my friend, I advise strongly to either remove all packs except the bare essentials as John said, or try to weed out whatever mod you may have and see what happens. If this keeps up, it will be hard to tell this from that and you may get into unwarranted trouble.

So I just removed everything, to be sure. I guess it's fixed. If it comes back I'll tell you

It's actually a pretty funny situation. A mod making ones vision see openings that would be considered good by our server standards, but in the eyes of others makes you a criminal :p

Back on topic, did you fix the melee thing?

I guess it's fixed nobody told me anything since I did the full reinstallation
