So, I've noticed lately that KR has a amazing community. It boasts members with great skill and personality, and is undoubtedly one of the greatest servers in JKA.
But I've also thought that perhaps KR should be just a touch more than that.
I think that in terms of content and events, KR has so much potential. I've already read the post regarding the emblem of KR. But to help with illustration, I think that it should be more of a SYMBOL. Allow me to kick this post into hyperdrive: A KR signature map. Youtube. Comics. Books. Short movies. Movies. Turning KR into something far beyond the limits of Jedi Knight Jedi Academy.
Though it should be noted that I do not think we should all move to another game. Pffft heck no. I mean in terms of popularity and modding creativity. Something that could blossom into something... ( dots for dramatic effect ) amazing. For the first step, for instance, it should be a mod that makes a unique and beautiful map for KR. Perhaps KR's signature starship. A hulking, massive freighter that houses each KR member's starship of preference or creation. A bridge at the top that stares into the beautiful abyss of stars. A engine room, bigger than a half of a star destroyer! quarters personalized by each KR member, a armory, test range, blaster education ( my favorite ). Think of it!
And that's not all, nonononono, I am talking just the first step! maybe start a youtube channel, be the most innovative and awesome channel out there! getting a million views the first few hours!
Start a book series, telling a fictional origin of legends! ( for example, Book 1: Jawfin )
Then, say, you all meet up and it's like the Avengers! ( too corny? )
I don't think KR should be limited. Ever. As soon as I saw that emblem on Tatooine map, I fell in love. And my mind raced! I want to take KR and throw it far above the stars, and if not that, perhaps above the limits of a simple game. What do you all think?

That's a lot of stuff Frog, but I must say I quite admire your imagination.
Though I think this will require a LOOOT of work, time and dedication from us, I am not unpleased of this initiative: I am, myself, making a whole JKA movie, and will be in need of "game actors" in, let's say a couple of weeks.
For book series, you can see the writers' corner section THEREFORE, If you want to set stories somewhere, you would ask the permission for each author first (and most author are now inactive).
That's all I can think of atm.

I'm not big into role-playing. I post trial vids on youtube when I'm able to record. We've had some writers from time-to-time. Several of us make skins and player models. We host a fun KRON event on the weekends when we are able to. Me have several modified SP maps on rotation and we have a team of people who have been working on a clan map over the last few years. We do what we can where we can when we can. Not many of us have time to do anything else this-game-related because of our busy real-life schedules.

Key and Zab and others are in the process of creating a clan map at present. Last I heard it was supposed to be done by Christmas

Aye, sounds good. I will be downloading some programs that could assist with art and comics. I will promote KR the best I can.

I can think of some melodies or two and record it, musician here, like a short instrumental anthem (strings)

Oh, yeah, instrumental anthem, totally, man.
I have no idea what that is. XD
Basically, I have no experience or knowledge of modding, mixing music, comics, or any of that stuff. Though I have wrote books before.
My whole drive is motivation to make KR rise. And maybe pick up the experience on the way.

Also, I've been reading the case files ( admin complaints and such ) and some cases were people going to different clans. This could be a solution, to make KR so froggin' amazing that even the most devoted clan-surfers would hesitate. I remember people leaving because they did not want to be in the same map doing the same thing over and over. This would be tantamount to keeping things fresh and new. Now granted, this would take a long time and long work but I think it would be worth it. The things John suggested above were all fine and good, but they are limited just about as much as any clan is. I don't want KR to be '' any clan ''. I want KR to be a dazzling symbol of something exotic. I want KR to invent things, to take their players on a adventure. The real thing behind KR is it's community, and I see great potential in everyone. This all may sound intimidating and overwhelming, but by the same token, if this is done, then can you imagine what KR would turn into? I certainly can!

I think you are taking your jka experience too seriously. This game has a dwindling following, many of whom have been playing the game for years and stick around because of the community.

Frog If you had joined any clan 8 odd years ago you would have been a hugely valuable asset. Nowadays the passion you have shown will meet with the naysayers and people happy with their status quo. I admire you greatly for the dedication you bring I find your outlook infectious. If I was you I would be for the short term focusing on earning an invite to join a community you obviously so admire. Its easier to bring up new ideas once your inside the tent. As the numbers are dwindling you are dealing with three types of players There are some who have lost your obvious passion. there are some who only commit to posting and joining in game once every three months there are some I still haven't met. How do you appeal to this demographic? Your biggest challenge are those that offer nothing and shoot down anybody's idea's. Due to life commitments limited time or the most obvious newer games. I for one will offer my support to you in any fashion I can. I can't skin I can't mod I cant map BUT I can learn. If you find a use for me I will help you in any way I can with whatever time I can spare you (which admittedly isn't much) I feel that your enthusiasm is what will stop this community dwindling. After all I love the idea of KR as much as you do.

Thank you for your kind words, Yama. But realistically speaking, it would be politically incorrect for me to be accepted into the clan. Many people do not like the way I act, so if I joined, then there is a chance that you would all lose some people that regularly attend KR. As for the faint of heart for this idea, I think the people of KR would start to feel differently if I drew you all inside a picture. I already know what I have in store for Falcon, Rogue, and Jawfin. Though Jawfin will be more difficult to draw as a fictitious character, seeing as how I only have his profile picture to go off of. You all may have noticed that I took you aside and asked you questions about your preferences. The idea behind this is that it will help generate your character inside the book/comic. If I get it correctly, then I will proceed to mold your guy's characters through the information you presented. John, Lina, and Raven are possibly the only ones I cannot get into the book. Though I absolutely adore the idea of Raven being in it. This is a start of something I want to be glorious. Addressing your willingness, Yama, I am very happy to see that you mirror my enthusiasm. And I have the same level of experience you do, but I think with the right amount of energy and determination, ANYTHING can happen!

Double clanning? I do not belong in another clan. Are you referring to the JaxsKatarn thing? if so, I quit that clan long ago. Five years ago, I think.

I think that's some loose alliance of players I've seen, chupacabra and a few others with those ALF tags whenever I ask people if they have joined a clan they giggle and say no. I don't get it.
