If you haven't heard already... [
the US government has killed net neutrality] and I urge you all to care. I am actually surprised no one has posted anything about this (to my knowledge) here already, and hope it is not because of ignorance or lack of care.
If you are too lazy to read, you can watch this video that will give you a ~11 min summary.

LOL Creed now you are exaggerating.
Well this sucks, even if this is US only, it will be followed by other governments sooner or later. I just took one small step to kick the governments butt.

Glad someone has also been keeping up with it.
By far the dumbest thing the government has down in a long time IMO and it leaves plenty of people with literally no option but to except it.

Honestly I don't know what to say on the video, this guy makes out our government to be a collection of cold hearted hypocrites who betray their own people. I agree that controlling our primary source for information and social channeling is a total violation of our rights as Americans; however there are 1000s beyond 1000s of elected officials in our country and to generalize those that wrong us as ''Our Goverment'' is an insult to good men and women trying to make a difference in our country. Im sorry but would never advocate such radical and unfounded slander.
Reminder this is my thoughts on the video I didnt look at the articles or anything.

K,
I stopped listening to the video as soon as I heard "AlphaOmegaSin" start to speak. I had to recollect my thoughts and prepare to listen to this guy whine for twelve minutes. I've heard plenty of people, listened to plenty of videos, and read plenty more articles based around circumstantial theories and wrong interpretations of court rulings, such as this one. He didn't even introduce the issue (which I think is pretty shoddy), let alone go five seconds without offending someone with his use of the English vocabulary. Akimoto, I would advise you to take this dose of information with a grain of salt. Also, as Creed stated, the video is not for the light of heart. Right off the bat, as a person, I lose respect for anyone who begins their argument with words that are highly unprofessional and vulgar, such as the ones he uses at regular intervals, pointlessly.
However, everyone is entitled to an opinion. I got four minutes into the video and he had still neglected to prove any of the things he was saying. Nine minutes in, still nothing, except this time he's basically saying that I "should" see the issue because it's black and white and has made some pretty nasty analogies to politicians. Still no evidence or sound logical thinking behind it, only a bias and some naughty words. I'm sure the issue, if there is one, is serious. This video is probably not the best way to advocate against the issue, because the only thing I'm getting out of this is "Oh no, my WiFi!"
I'm near the end of the video, and he's telling you not to do exactly what you should do. He's telling you "Forget everything you have ever thought, I'm right, click the links!". He's already called himself a pessimist, which is the issue. Why are you listening to a pessimist? People blowing up the negative things to make them seem like massive problems. The worst thing that will happen is you lose your internet connection for five minutes, a law is passed, and it's back on. Phil has a very good point, as well. There are good people in this world, and there are good people working to better the United States by working in office and doing the right things. I will amend his statement by saying focusing on the negative aspects of an issue solve nothing. The best thing this Youtuber could have done was take pieces of information from the article and prove his theory of Government world domination that way, even if it's still a silly theory (in my opinion).
It's really bothering me that I can't quote some of the things he said! The only reason I haven't is because everything he says that makes him sound like an idiot makes use of those lovely words we talked about.
Like I said, eat a bowl of salt. I think everyone is getting weepy for no reason.
Edit: Also, I would like to point out that the negative aspects this so-called issue does have are not yet even real. The law has simply been passed, and everyone sees the possibility of a scam. That does not mean the scam has already happened, or that it will happen. In fact, the reason that Net Neutrality was struck down, as it clearly states here, was because "FCC didn't have the authority to impose its rules because it defined broadband internet as an information service rather than a common carrier service, like telephones."

Sarcasm
Criticism
Flaming
Being generally rude
Nicer way to say all of these things regardless of your opinion or stance. Instead harsh paragraph just say I don't think this guy is credible and I have a different stance on the topic along with a few facts.
Lets keep it friendly guys

Simply my expressive conjecture
I'm sorry if you see what I wrote as any of the things you listed there. But uh, let's not forget the nature of the subject here, and keep this post on topic (that is, if we can).
Edit: Akimoto also asked for readers of his post to care. I was simply going through my experience watching what was, in my opinion, a pointless video. The nature of my paragraph was aimed at the video, not at Akimoto...
